I am thrilled about the new lower Wishes minimum for an early wedding ceremony, but I am confused about just how close to $10,000 I can keep our cost. When you add the 21% gratuity and the 6.5% tax to $10,000, it is $12750!! If our wedding cost for the day were closer to $8500, we would only go over $10,000 by $838!! Is this possible? I guess what I am asking is the $10,000 minimum requirement with taxes and service charges, or are we required to spend $10,000 before any service charges and taxes are added? And I know it will be hard to keep it at $10,000...Thanks!

I am pretty certain that the Wishes minimums are BEFORE tax and SCs are added :sad2:

Okay, let me get this straight (lol)...you can have a Wishes wedding for a minimum of $10K++ as long as it's a morning wedding? Is this from now on or is it a promotion for just 2010?

For now...that's the way it is! It's posted on the pricing page for wishes weddings.

This is for now, Wishes Pricing can change throughout the year, escape pricing is guaranteed for 2010 so it won't change.

Just so you know not everything has the same tax and service charge. We are just over the $12k minimum and our taxes were around $1500...so on $10,000 it could be less.

Here's what gets taxed and what gets the 21% service charge. How much you go over the $10,000 will depend on how much you spend on things that get service charges.

Things that are taxed
Audio/Visual Elements
Cake
Cake Handling Fee
Ceremony Venue Rental Fee
Dessert Party Viewing Fee
Floral & Decor
Floral Move/set/delivery fees
Food & Beverage
Photography & Videography Packages (only if you are a Florida resident or the final products are delivered to you before you leave Florida)
Reception/Dessert Party Venue Rental Fee
Venue setup charge

Things that get the 21% service fee
Audio/Visual Elements that require setup by a technician
Cake
Food
Beverages
