Vero Beach at $58/pt

An auction by Century 21 for a 300 point Vero Beach DVC unit just finished on EBay. The highest bid was $17,458 or $58.19 per point, but the minimum reserve price wasn't met.

It was interesting to see how much the free market price was these days.

That price may be somewhat somewhat deceiving, as DVD is selling VB for$80/pt minus $15/pt for MB.

We actually did our second VB add-on for $75/pt minus $15 MB for an effective price of $60/pt...and this included closing costs.
I realize that we sacraficed our first UY points, but we added in June (process started late May), and have September use year.
The timing was perfect for our situation. :cool:

We got VB at $52 through DVD a few years back and are happy with it.

What's the DVD buy back threshold these days? I have heard $65 but I wonder if it uniformly enforced across all resorts.
