Hi,
Please give any and all suggestions about getting a decent deal at the swan for peak season, am planning on taking our family there for our last big fling before the kids fly the nest, have to go the week of march 8-15,college spring break for my daughter so only time we can go... i know it's a terrible time to go being peak season and all but it's the only time we can go, we aren't teachers or fed state workers, belong to triple a but don't see a discount offered for that time of year, cheapest room i could find was for 309 a night and that doesn't include any taxes or 25 per person extra a night for my two kids who are both over 18, i really like the looks and location of the resort but the price, arg!!!do you get a definite discount with an ap or dc??would it be better to go thru a travel agent to get a deal? sorry for all the questions but i'm desperate, any suggestions are much appreciated!!!!

If you have an AP, Disney Club, or Entertainment membership, you can get 50% off the rack rate. Those rates aren't always available, but they are much less than $309.

thanks nancy,
i'm still trying to get a better price,i really want to go to either the swan or the dolphin but i'm not getting much luck, i caled disney twice and both people i talked to said the hotel rates were not available until september then i called the starwood number and the best they could do was 368 for 2 of the nights and 415 for the other 5, that includes 4 adults but no other taxes or fees, geeez i'm so depressed, i asked about the ap rate but no one seemed to know about that either.... i'm at a loss, should i contact a travel agent, maybe they can help,oh the rate above was supposedly the aaa rate too, geez i wish i were a teacher or a government employee.........

Julie,
Anyone can get an entertainment book [URL=www.entertainment.com] and use the card in the front for 50% off rack rate. Call the Swan directly and ask for the entertainment rate for your time. If you don't get it, call again and ask someone else. I am not sure about spring break, but we got a discount checking in on Dec. 24.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Carol
