Christmas Trip to BLT

Our first trip home to BLT is Christmas 2010. Can anyone explain how the to get into the special lounge at night.

I guess you have to sign up ahead of time?

How far in advance?

Is the atmosphere good? Fun?

Show the CM on the first floor your room key. They will let you up. No reservation needed.

DVC Members staying at BLT can access the obversation deck and Top of the World Lounge by going to the check-in desk on the first floor of BLT. They don't take advance reservations, you show up and if it's not at capacity they will take you to a special elevator and using their key send you up to the 16th floor.

We were there just after New Years and the lounge didn't open til 5 p.m. It was full the night we went up (nowhere to sit inside) and achingly cold outside, but we braved it for the Wishes. The next night we watched from our 6th floor Lake View (which was both Lake and MK) balcony and thought it was just as good.
