I saw in another post that the busses from the Disney Resorts seem to get to the port later in the afternoon - some as late as 2:00 p.m.

So here is my question

It would be cheaper & I could get to the port earlier if I used a towncar service. But is it better to be early and stand in line or are the lines shorter if we just use the DCL transfer and come later in the afternoon? We're staying at the Dolphin & I haven't seen any information yet on when the DCL busses usually leave there.

This is going to be our first cruise & I want to make sure that we get Brunch reservations for Palo's (maybe Dinner too!):) We'd like to have time to wander around on the ship too!

We used the Disney transfer from the AK and arrived at the port between 2:00 and 2:30. That worked out fine since we were not doing any ressies. Our plan was to just relax after 4 days running around at the parks.

Regarding lines, we didn't experience anything much at all, perhaps because it was midday and many people did want to arrive early.

I think you can take an earlier bus directly from your resort. Assuming that is correct, we might try that instead on our next land and sea trip. Perhaps someone can comment on the options.

My DW and I have ressies for our upcoming trip this Oct w/ DCL busline. We were told we would be p/u@ 11:30 and get there around 1:00. We are pondering a car service and get there earlier so we can get in line for Palo's also
The bus is cheaper for 2 or 3, but anymore then that and a towncar is just as cheap.
Yes, you will wait in line getting to the port early, but it can be fun all the same. Have a great trip.

Any transportation suggestions for a group of six?

DCL transfers will cost $200 for the 4 of us - and Tiffany Town Car only charges $175 for the trip to the port. If I can't get an earlier bus to the Port I think will opt for Tiffany.

Thanks for all the help!

Does the arrival time vary a lot when being picked up at the airport?
