Welcome Everyone!

I'm a first time mom and just returned from our most wonderful trip to WDW! This is my first trip report ever and I can't wait to begin! Let's start from the beginning, shall we? (a very good place to start!)

The Cast of Characters:

Me:
Hi! I'm Nancy. I'm turning 30 this year (). I'm from the Bronx and well, a little cynical. Ok, I'm very cynical and sarcastic. So why the heck do I like Disney?? Well, it's the one place where I just let loose and "dork it out" as my friend often tells me. It's my forced happiness! I do believe that since I've had my son I'm way less of an angry person! Until I had him I worked as the Head of Investor Relations for a multi-billion dollar asset management firm - perhaps where the bitterness came from - but hubby and I decided that I will stay home to raise our son. I really enjoy staying home and I just love my little boy. :lovestruc:cloud9:

Here I am with my guy a couple days before Christmas:

DH:
My husband is John and several people have coined him, "the nicest guy I've ever met". I hate to admit it, but it's true. He is really friendly and genuinely loves our boy as much as I do (but once you see him you'll know why! hehe). John works as the Marketing Director for a technology firm. He works really hard and even started a consulting business on the side (which I hope to help him with) so we can afford for me to stay home. We started going to Disney shortly after we got married and in the 3.5 years we've been married we've gone 5 times!!! I totally hooked him on the mouse!
Here he is (another Christmastime picture as these were the easiest to find!):

Finally, DS:
One June 20, 2009, our miracle Thomas Edward was born. After 2.5 long years of trying to conceive, fertility treatments, a miscarriage, and lots of tears, we were so blessed to finally be pregnant with him. The pregnancy was not an easy one. There was an issue with the umbilical cord which did not allow him to grow as big as the doctors would like. I was put on bedrest for about 10 weeks and was finally induced at 38 weeks to allow him to grow better on the outside!
It took me a while to really fall in love. Of course I loved him and cared for him but we had MAJOR bf'ing issues and I was too stubborn to stop. Thomas had terrible colic and has reflux. He still barfs upwards of 50 times a day. It is tiring! Slowly but surely I became more sure of myself as a mother and Thomas and I are just two peas in a pod now. Sure he still barfs but now I can laugh about it :)
Here is my beautiful boy getting ready to go to Disney:
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4018/4251775771_9d9bdb6447.jpg

Isn't it funny how every mother thinks their kid is the cutest in the world? I used to think that was all a bunch of phooey...until I had him and I'm another mom who truly believes I have the cutest! :lmao:

What's that? Get to the good stuff? Ok ok you got it!

When: January 24-31, 2010
Where: Port Orleans French Quarter
Why: To celebrate our sweet boy!

I had been planning and packing and DISing non-stop for the last 7 months since Thomas was born getting ready for this trip. I got some GREAT advice on here and really owe it to all of you for being so prepared!

Our flight from LGA was at 7:15am which meant we actually had to wake Thomas up to get out of the house. That never happens! We got him up at 4:30am and fed him and had a cab pick us up at 5am. I held him in the ergo with my seatbelt on and he felt nice and safe against me (and also the fact that he was still in him jammies probably felt nice!). We decided to skycap the bags just because we were nervous about having him and all the logistics (you will definitely be able to tell we are total first time parents aka worry warts!!).
The flight went off without a hitch and Thomas wound up sleeping through most of it!
Here we are just off the flight with Mickey Ears already on:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo32-2.jpg

And here we are on the "mini-monorail" as I like to call it:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo31.jpg
I look tired! But certainly happy:) sorry I don't know why this one turned out so big.

We decided to rent a car since we weren't exactly sure how Thomas would be as far as getting to/from the park. We rented from Alamo and the line was ridiculous! And only one guy manning the computer. He turned out to be a bit of a jerk, but, no matter, we were almost at Disney!:cool1:

We walked to the cars and were told to just go pick out a car seat from the big pile. wait wait wait...the guy I spoke with when making the reservation said that they would install the seat for us! gah! Well. we're smart, we'll figure it out, right? Notsomuch. I'm sure you can picture the scene of a couple with their now screaming little baby trying to install a dinky car seat at a rental car place...we just won't go there.

My first time driving at the world was a success! And I even snapped the BEST picture in the world:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo29.jpg

Getting ready to check-in:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo28.jpg
Isn't the walk into the lobby the BEST feeling ever???:cloud9:

Check-in was a total breeze and we got Thomas his 1st Visit pin.

Off to our room to plop down our bags:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo26.jpg

Happy boy still in his jammies!
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo25.jpg

Well by now we were starving and ready to start our week of gorging ourselves on Disney food! I also couldn't wait to add to my collection of refillable mugs! John wants to throw some of them out but I just can't do it! We headed to the food court and split the chicken club wrap. It was really good and big! We were satisfied splitting it and felt that we then justified all the other things we'd eat that day.

Ok now it's park time!! Off to Epcot! Will we drive??

Hi!! And congrats! Are you pregnant with your first?

That hat got SO many compliments on our trip!! Thing is, they don't sell it at WDW! I found it online. It is made by a company called Trumpette but I don't know the exact site from where I purchased it. I will look for you though!

Thanks for joining :)

Hi Erin! I must admit that I did look at some red-headed kids to see if they were yours :) Most didn't have the right amount of siblings though! So glad you had a blast!

Good Morning. Your son is adorable and I had tears in my eyes reading about your hardships to conceive. It took us 5 years to be blessed with our daughter who is now 11. Please enjoy every minute of it because it does go so fast. Not a day goes by that I don't look at her and give thanks that she is here. We too (DD and me) are Disney fanatics...DH not so much, but takes his "sunshine girls" every year because well he is the best :woohoo:

After our lunch we were ready for some park time! I checked up the touringplans.com's recommendations for which park to visit and it suggested Epcot. Now, John and I had been carrying on a tradition that was started with my parents that our first park was MGM and our first ride was the Great Movie Ride. I don't know why, we just always started there! Well, this trip we figured we might as well start a new tradition with Thomas so we decided to hit up Epcot!

Now, we did rent a car but decided that there's no way we'd get a close parking spot in the middle of the afternoon so we decided to bus it over to Epcot. I prefer taking the bus anyway and since Thomas is so portable now it was really easy.

Here's John on the bus (poor guy got stuck with all the stuff!):
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10007.jpg

By this time, Thomas hadn't had a nap since the plane ride so he was a bit on the crabby side. I carried him in the ergo carrier (thanks to the DIS board for this great find!) and after this:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10008.jpg

He turned into this:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10010.jpg

Thomas wound up spending alot of time in the Ergo. He pretty much never napped in his stroller. There was just too much to look at and he couldn't shut down. The Ergo got him right up next to me and the hood really shut out everything so he could snooze (at 20 min clips!).

At last we arrived and I was so excited I took a picture before we even had our bags checked:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10011.jpg

Here we are with our little sleeping baby on me. Check out his little hand peeking through:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10012.jpg
Oh man we look exhausted here! Shoo! I don't know about you guys but that first day exhaustion and push through it is a great exhaustion! I'll take it any day :woohoo:

Thomas's first ride ever at Disney was Spaceship Earth! Ok, fine, he slept through the whole thing. But John and I had fun! Even snapped a few pics:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10014.jpg
("...and unfortunately, taxes" hehe oh that pharaoh and his taxes!)

John and I went to Rome last January for a week (I was 19 weeks pregnant then) and it was so cool to actually see the Sistine Chapel!:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10019.jpg

And of course, Foxy Brown is just funny:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10021.jpg
It's not so much the hair that I think is hysterical, it's the ridiculous outfit! I don't think the 1970s scientists were going to work rocking some club outfit. Who knows!

By the time we had seen our future, the little man was awake and peering through his little head cover. Remember when we split the lunch earlier? Well that meant it was time for some Disney snacks! We hit up the Edy's ice cream place. Don't remember what that's called but it's by Club Cool. In all my years going to Disney I'd never been there before. Well I was feeling especially hoggish so I ordered the double scoop of the butter pecan (sugar free but whatever!) and John got the sundae. OH. MY. GOODNESS that thing was huge. I am NEVER one to throw away ice cream but I couldn't even finish the first scoop! We could have easily split it! Thomas was eying that ice cream like nobody's business but I hadn't really given him any tastes of "real" food so I decided against it. Will I be so strong later on in the trip when he wants ice cream??

Next we went on Nemo and Thomas really enjoyed it! He was staring out at everything! "In a biiiig blue woorrrlllddd" LOVE IT!:lovestruc
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10029.jpg

We decided to check out the World Showcase next. We knew that our days wouldn't be late ones and figured we could do some of the more thrilling Epcot rides another time. Plus, after all that ice cream I couldn't stomach anything fast or spinny.

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10031.jpg

It was awfully warm (compared to at home at least!) and we decided to hit up Mexico for a fiesta margarita (like I didn't already have enough sweets in me!) Here I am in front of Norway enjoying my cocktail:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10033.jpg

I don't know about you guys, but I got the WORST brain freeze when I drank that. I don't know what's wrong with me but it was so bad. It went down my back and my head felt like it was going to explode! Maybe I was just really tired or something. But, man! Ouch!

We headed towards the American Adventure and stopped in Italy on the way. I've never been crazy about that particular pavilion but I had to stop and look when it seemed like the one building (the one that's in Venice I believe) had been moved closer and there was some big construction going on in the back. Check it out:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10043.jpg
It IS closer, right? Or am I just making that up?

Well, no matter, we went to the American Adventure and Thomas was getting hungry. I'm still nursing and was pretty apprehensive about nursing in public. We headed into the Liberty Inn (is that the name?) food court and I went to a corner table and fed him. Would my modesty remain during the trip or will I just feed wherever and whenever??? Here he and John are after a fresh diaper change:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10047.jpg
John is going to be 40 this year. Doesn't look it at all, right? LUCKY!

After his little nibble, he went back in the ergo for a snooze. We listened to the Voices of Liberty and headed to watch the show. Now, this one particular cast member has been there for at least the last 3 years and he is so nice! One time he even had Mickey mouse call us for our anniversary! His name is Lonnie and he genuinely seems interested and excited about US history. Have you seen him before?:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10048.jpg

I absolutely love the American Adventure show. I adore it! But the thing that always gets me is the musical montage at the end! I always think I can keep it together but once the men and woman who were on the Challenger walk across the screen I just lose it. And added now the 9-11 footage? Forget it, I'm a blubbering mess every time. I have a lot of aunts and uncles who were firemen and cops down there. My dad works for the federal gov't down there as well and we couldn't get a hold of him for a long time that day. Needless to say we know alot of people who lost their lives that day. I think sometimes we forget what happened and we need to be reminded of it and the spirit of America.

After that we strolled around the world twice!
Here Thomas is kicking back in Morocco:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10057.jpg

We ended back at America and had dinner there. John had the burger and I had the BBQ pork sandwich. While we ate Thomas dined on some mouse ear:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10063.jpg

We decided to head home after that. Thomas is typically given dinner, a bath, and nursed to sleep starting at about 6:30 and we decided it was best to try to stick with his schedule. Thomas was exhausted by then but really enjoyed having a bath in the big tub, his first big tub bath ever!:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10070.jpg

So how did the first night go? Where did we go for our first full day? I hope you'll stay tuned!

We are planning our first trip with him when he'll be about 10 months old so Im very interested in your TR and any tips you have to pass along...like what is this Ergo carrier you speak of? Where did you get it? It seems that the hood is a godsend for naps in the parks :thumbsup2

ohhhh!! congrats to you!!! i found in the very beginning of mommyhood i was on the DIS ALOT because i was awake...ALOT! in fact, my son has been up since 2:45 am, it's 4:21am right now and here i am! gah! just when i think we are sleeping through the night, he's up at 2:30! he's over playing in his bouncy thing like it's the afternoon!

oh and the ergo carrier? it's awesome! that's the green carrier thing that you see thomas in in practically all the pictures! haha! i got my ergo at buy buy baby. it's a little pricey but in my opinion it's so worth it. the slings never worked for us, the moby was better (for me personally) when he was itty bitty. the baby bjorn is good but hard on your back. the ergo is really comfy for me and john. thomas can go in the front, in the back, and even the hip when he's older.

good luck to you and congrats! i hope you'll post when baby comes!!!

Thanks for the tip on the Ergo! We have a baby bjorn, but I have a bad back and think DH will be the one to use it, but the Ergo looks a lot more comfy for the adult to use too. I went to the dr yesterday and my BP was up :( but I am 3cm dilated and 75% effaced so hopefully he will be coming soon! If hes not here by Mon and my BP doesnt go down then we will have to talk about induction :sad2: I dont know why but induction freaks me out!

Our first full day, Monday, started off at 4:30am :earseek: Granted, we were probably asleep by 8:45pm so I really can't complain. Thomas woke up a few times in the night but not so much that I needed to feed him. One time we just plugged him with the pacifier and the other times he just fell back asleep. This would be great if I wasn't such a light sleeper! Every little noise woke me up! Still, it could have been so much worse. In a new place, different bed, different lighting - he could have been up all night!

Here's our munchkin playing in his disney-issue pack-n-play:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10176.jpg

LOL! yes, we had him set up in the bathroom area. I felt that was the best because there is a curtain that we could close up a bit so we could watch a little tv before we went to sleep ourselves (however, by the end of the day, I think we watched maybe 3 minutes before falling asleep each night!).

I fed Thomas while John showered and got ready for the day. Afterwards, I peeked outside and saw rain. Bummer. Not really that bad though and I hoped it would stop. Still, rain in Florida is better than cold in New York! Around 5:45 am or so John took Thomas out in the stroller and walked around the resort and the main building while I had a chance to get ready in peace and quiet. By then it had stopped raining too. Awesome!

Showered, dressed, and diaper bag ready I left the room to meet John and Thomas and get my tea! That was the longest I’d been awake in a long time without some sort of caffeine in me!

Here’s the gorgeous French Quarter in the wee hours of the morning:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10074.jpg
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10073.jpg

And ahhhh, my favorite place at the resort – the food court!!! Home of the great food (and no, I’ve never even had a beniet (sp?) and the refillable mugs! Something about drinking from those mugs makes me really feel like I’m on vacation!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10077.jpg

This morning we had reservation for breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. I had never been there before! In fact, the only time I was ever at the Contemporary Resort was while riding the monorail! I was both excited and nervous about this breakfast because Thomas had never seen characters before, we had actually never been out with him at a restaurant EVER, and he hadn’t napped! But hey, gotta try, right? We got in the car and followed the directions to the Contemporary. We decided to valet park it because one of the DISers had suggested doing that so that we could go to the Magic Kingdom after that. I wasn’t sure if that was kosher but I asked the valet and he said it was totally cool and that people did it all the time.

Here is a not so good shot from the line at Chef Mickey’s:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10078.jpg

And here’s my mini-mousetekeer all ready to see the Chef:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10080.jpg

ok I just have to point this out to you – he is wearing a Mickey hat, a Mickey outfit (that you can’t see), a Mickey bib, Mickey socks, and Mickey shoes AND is holding a Mickey. Do you think mommy was planning for this trip for a long time or what????

And of course here is the monorail quietly gliding by:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10081.jpg
so cool!

Now you aren’t going to believe this but OF COURSE my camera died right after snapping a few shots with Donald! ARRRGHHH!!! When I left the room it told me it was fully charged! Grrr! Luckily we had the Flip video camera so we were able to get some good footage of Thomas meeting the rest of the characters. But here are a couple photos of Thomas and Donald:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10082.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10085.jpg
He’s really starting to notice little things like buttons. He’s obsessed with them now!

Unfortunately the rest of the meal, like the camera, was a bit of a lost cause. Thomas was TIRED, OVERWHELMED, and HUNGRY!! I put him in the Ergo and jiggled around for a bit while trying to eat some breakfast. Not easy. Our poor waiter was probably itching for us to get out of there already! I actually wound up feeding him in the Ergo! Now, you have to know that I was never a nursing in public person and could never figure out how to nurse any other way than on my couch with pillows. So to be able to nurse in a baby carrier was pretty huge for me! AND you couldn’t see anything!

After Chef Mickey’s we decided to take the monorail over to Magic Kingdom – that was dumb. I didn’t realize the direction in which the monorail travels. And we were trying to get there during, well, rush hour! So it took a lot longer to get there than if we had just walked. Still, we got there so it was all good!

We walked straight to Fantasyland and walked right onto Winnie the Pooh! Thomas was held by John in the Baby Bjorn so he could see out (I promise in later days I’ll have pictures of these things!!). After that we walked right onto Snow White and even right onto Peter Pan! Awesome! Thomas really enjoyed looking at everything! He was bouncing his arms and legs all around!

Next we went on it’s a small world. We sat in the front row and the rest of the boat was part of a Brazilian tour group. (if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all. So we’ll just move on from that!)

Thomas was getting hungry and a little overwhelmed now so we headed to our very first trip to a Baby Center. After reading all about them on the DIS, I was excited to check them out. Yeah, they rock! We spent a lot of time in these baby centers and it was a great little break! The nursing room at the Magic Kingdom that day was a bit on the stuffy side but I think that may have just been because it was early and they probably didn’t have any air going through that room all night.

After the baby center, I thought for sure Thomas would fall asleep in the stroller. Nope! My back was bothering me a little so John held Thomas in the Ergo. It was also really sunny (so much for that rain earlier!) so we lubed my pale boy up in lots of sun block.

I managed to get the camera working just long enough to get this:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10088.jpg
I know, another Mickey hat!!! I’m obsessed!!!

John and I were hungry (you’ll notice we eat a lot!) so we headed over to Pecos Bill and split the chicken wrap. Meh, not that good. Should just stick to the burgers.

We then walked over to Tomorrowland to try out the baby swap on Space Mountain. Go up to the CM and she tells us we have to take Thomas out of the stroller, take him THROUGH the line with us and swap from there! WHAT! I tried to explain that I’m pretty sure that was not right. But she insisted!! Luckily, the line wasn’t long so we both just individually waited.

Ok, maybe it’s mommyhood but roller coasters seem so much faster now! I used my iphone to snap this:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo20.jpg
haha I look scared!!!!

We went to Auntie Gravity’s for some ice cream and then took a trip on the TTA. Thomas got hungry so I fed him on the ride. He then fell asleep in the Ergo! We decided to do Buzz Lightyear and Thomas slept right through it!! Here’s another iphone action shot:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo19.jpg
There’s Thomas under the green thing on top of me! LOL!

Thomas was still asleep so we walked over to Adventureland and rode Pirates. He woke up right at the end.

We decided to head back to the baby center where we discovered a massive diaper explosion! Whoa! After a nice dry outfit Thomas had some yummy applesauce and oatmeal in the really nice wooden highchairs they have there.

Dinner time! We headed over to Columbia Harbor House. We had never been there and I was pleasantly surprised! I had the hummus sandwich and John had the tuna sandwich. Both good and Thomas was in good spirits and let us eat.

Thomas loves his daddy (or wants that cup!):
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo17.jpg

Ugh, now comes an un-magical memory of the trip. We decided to head back to the resort after that since it was getting close to Thomas’s bed time. I put Thomas on my back in the Ergo. We were by the stroller parking outside the Columbia Harbor House. There was a small space between our stroller and the next stroller and I was standing in that space getting Thomas secured on my back. This jerk barges through to park his stroller in that small space because apparently going two more feet to the other side of the next stroller would have killed him. He came VERY close to knocking into Thomas on my back and I told him so. Well this *^$#%#$6354 of a guy just wouldn’t let it go. He just kept saying he wasn’t too close. I said, look buddy, you need to watch out for other people’s personal spce, especially when there are infants involved.” He again just wouldn’t back down and what looked to be his MOTHER chimed in something nasty like, “oh why would be want to get close to you?” argh!!! There is more but I’m not going to waste any more time on that jerk or his family. Here in NYC, you get too close to someone, especially with a kid, and you get a punch in the face!! Grrr!!

Enough! Poo on him!

We walked out of the park while I steamed and John told me to let it go. Darn him and his niceness! LOL! We walked to the Contemporary, got our car, and drove home.

Bathtime, feeding, and bed for Thomas. I’m pretty sure we were asleep 5 minutes later!!

What’s next??? I hope you’ll stick around! I charged my camera so there are plenty of pictures!!

Great TR :cool1: I have to laugh when my son was about 4 months old we went to WDW and brought everything but the kitchen sink. By the time we had our second child we brought half the amount of stuff. Can't wait to hear more.:thumbsup2

omg we brought SO much stuff! we wound up doing laundry 3 different times (thomas still spits up alot) so i really could have packed like a quarter of the amount of clothes we brought!

thanks for joining!!!

If hes not here by Mon and my BP doesnt go down then we will have to talk about induction :sad2: I dont know why but induction freaks me out!

get the Ergo! your back will need all the help it can get once you start picking up that baby all the time!

don't be nervous about induction (well, try not to at least!). i was induced and it was really no problem! i almost preferred that to going into labor because at least i was already at the hospital!

keep us posted!!!

I'm loving your TR. Thomas is adorable!:goodvibes

I'm with you, the guy would have gotten a punch, but I'm from Philly and that's how we roll;)

I was like you when we took our DS for the 1st time (he was 11 months then) and worried about sleeping, etc. I think they get just as tired as we do, even not doing all the walking. I thik just all the excitement and stimulation makes them tired. Although, like Thomas he still got up early:sad2:

I would have probably offered to park the stroller in a place far more convienent for me, not so much for him! I just arrived home from my first WDW trip and had my 6 month old son with me. I'm very particular about my personal space when i'm holding him as well! Especially since he was our little miracle too:love:

Looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip! We were over at Riverside, I'm interested on how the 2 compare.

ugh! every time i think of that guy i get mad! how could you argue against me??? personal space isn't really something you can argue against! i mean, did the guy think he could get CLOSER!!??? don't mess with a new mama!

i hope you had a great time! we have stayed at POR before as well as POFQ. i love both of them. John prefers POFQ only really because he likes the new orleans motiff. i like it because it's smaller. we stayed at the farthest building away from the main one and we still could get to the food court in less than 4 minutes. POR is so beautiful. i love strolling around that resort!

My DS has had reflux problems from day one. We had to carry around more clothes and burp cloths. When we would go to WDW it would cost us so much money just to do laundry and have to wait in a line just to get a washer. We had him tested and they put him on meds, but it didn't work so we just dealt with it. Our Dr. says he will out gow it well he is 13 and still has reflux issues.

gah! we've been told thomas will outgrow it too! we were told that at 3 months! and it's not getting better. he's had the barium swallow test and all that came out just fine.

we did laundry 3 times in 8 days! luckily it was totally empty every time i went. annoying though was the fact that the change machine was broken!

you are too nice! and as far as having a girl...well...i don't know! the first few months with Thomas were SO tough that right now i'm happy with one. also, i'm an only child so i just don't know what it's like to be in a family with more than one kid. all that being said, it was very hard to get pregnant (and stay pregnant) with Thomas so it may be tough to make a girl.

oh, when there was any little moment free for some disney souvenier-making, we opted for sleep. lol!

LOL.. I'm lucky enough to have a wonderful DH that spoils me in my love of all things WDW  A year before we managed to get pregnant we bought into DVC... then got add-on-itis and bought more :rolleyes1 then when we found out about DD we added on at Bay Lake towers :goodvibes and even with all those points we're still having to borrow points for our trips :lmao: We're trying to average 2 trips a year... this trip was planned because DD "spoiled" my plans to run in the Disney races last year (darn :rolleyes1 :goodvibes) so I "Needed" to run in the princess half marathon. It's a shame your DH's work trip got cancelled... that would have been a great excuse for a trip for you and Thomas! I envy you being able to stay at home... I never thought I'd want to be a stay at home mom, but now that I have DD I'd love to be able to quit working.... at least I'm a lucky one that gets to work from home most of the time, so she's still around, but I'd love to be able to care for her full time and not pay someone else to take care of her!

We did have DH's mom along for the trip in Sept and she's in a wheelchair, so we kinda substituted her as our stroller :rotfl: I have a feeling this next trip we will be using the stroller a LOT more as DD now weighs in at 25+ pounds :scared1: (yep... 99th percentile for height and weight) so I'm not so sure I'll want to wear her everywhere:scared: We're still practicing the back carry possition, which I like much better then the front cary... so we'll see how that goes.

Our next day, Tuesday, started out by Thomas sleeping in! Til 6 am! Doesn’t sound that big but that’s the longest he’s slept in a looooong time! And even as I type this I’m jealous of my Disney-vacationing self for being able to sleep in! Thomas was up this morning at 3am and has only napped on top of me since then. Every time I try to get up to put him in his crib his eyes flip right open! Ok Nance, this is not the place to complain! Get onto the good stuff!

We had a breakfast reservation for 8 am at Liberty Tree Tavern. John and I had been visiting the Crystal Palace every trip we’ve taken and were sad to find out that it would be closed during our visit. We had never been to Liberty Tree Tavern so we were looking forward to it. Also, I’d never had an early enough reservation to be able to get into the park before it opens for the public.

We decided against driving to the Magic Kingdom as you really can’t get all that close to the park! The bus came with hardly any wait. There was another family on the bus that early too. I overheard them talking about how they were going to get to the Contemporary for their breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. Well, I still had that fight with the jerk from the evening before on my brain so I thought I could make up for fighting at Disney by helping them figure out how to get to their breakfast. After learning the previous day that the monorail ride from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom can take FOREVER, I told them it’d be faster just to walk over. They appreciated the advice and I felt like I had redeemed myself from the day before (even though it WAS HIS fault!!!).

We walked through the breakfast reservation entrance. It was AWESOME to go through and the place be essentially empty! I should also add now that on the bus ride Thomas fell asleep in the Ergo.

Here we are in front of the castle:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10095.jpg

Hi nice CM!
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10097.jpg

And no matter how many times I visit, I will ALWAYS take this shot:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10099.jpg

Someone woke up! Time to put the ears on!
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10108.jpg

Ok so we FINALLY made it to LTT after taking tons of photos of the empty park. We waited for about 30 seconds before our table was ready. Thomas did much better at this meal than he had at Chef Mickey’s! He even let me give him some baby food while he sat in the carriage. I think that having plenty of toys for him really helped!

Now, I’m not sure and will have to check, but I don’t think the LTT normally does breakfast. It was OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD! Delicious! And HUGE! They had your basic breakfast stuff but everything just tasted so much better than the other buffets I’d been to. Yum! John and I both agree that it was the best meal we had the whole week!

Thomas met Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Minnie Mouse:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10115.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10133.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10136.jpg

That was so much fun! Pluto was definitely the funniest character. I have a video of this but don’t know how to get it on here. Pluto was playing with Thomas and even took off his sock and shoe and put it in his mouth. LOL! Funny doggie. I then told Pluto that he had to put it back on. Haha. You could tell the CM underneath was like, “yeah right lady.”

Well by the end of breakfast it was just after 9 am and the park was now open. Liberty Square must not get a lot of traffic right when the park opens because I shot this:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10142.jpg

If only it were always like that!!!

We decided to go to the Haunted Mansion. We had the first stroller parking spot! I asked the CM standing outside if we were the first people of the day. She said no but we were no more than the 10th! Cool! Thomas really enjoyed the ride – looked around everywhere. I also caught a bunch of the Haunted Mansion CMs smiling at Thomas! And here I thought they never cracked a smile 

Since we had just been to the Magic Kingdom the day before we decided to take the bus over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Walk to the buses only then to find out that they don’t have buses to DHS! Bah! Ugh I was really annoyed. Not that big of a deal though so we took the bus to the TTC and then transferred to DHS. Thomas slept most of the commute and woke up when we arrived.

We walked through the gates and had this photo snapped:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10146.jpg

We got fastpasses for Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster. Since we had some time before we could get on those rides, we walked over to the Great Movie Ride. I love this ride! Thomas was awake and I was interested to see what he’d think of it!

Getting ready to see the Great Movie Ride:

Thomas is interested in the movie before the ride!
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10156.jpg

After the Great Movie Ride we headed over to the Baby Care Center. Another great one! Smaller than the Magic Kingdom’s but the nursing rooms were private. That was nice. Spent a good amount of time there and Thomas probably needed it to shut down a bit. Afterwards we walked over to the RNRC. I rode first while John stayed outside with Thomas and then we switched. Thomas was in the stroller and only FINALLY fell asleep while John was watching him so I could ride Tower of Terror! Oh, on RNRC I got to sit up front with this pre-teen kid! LOL! He told me not to be nervous! I can’t believe I looked nervous! I used to ride these rollercoasters with no problems! But I swear ever since I had Thomas I’m a wuss! Oh well. After I went on ToT John decided he didn’t want to ride (talk about wuss! LOL!). Thomas had a little nap in the stroller (emphasis on LITTLE!) and John and I decided we’d have our PB&J sandwiches that I had made earlier. They were good but we needed more! Off to Gerties:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10158.jpg

John talks about Gertie’s all the time! He loves it! We were really excited for our ice cream cones. Then…..BARF! It was horrible! There was no CREAM in the ice cream! Blech! We were so sad about it (ok, not THAT sad, but we were bummed). Of course, we STILL ate the whole thing!

Afterwards we just walked around and around enjoying all the scenery. We saw a bit of the Block Party Bash but I didn’t want to get too close because I thought it’d be too loud for the little guy. We went back to the Baby Center for a diaper change and feed and then decided to head home. The wait for the bus back to POFQ was a long one. Once we got home, we changed and threw in a load of laundry. Thomas had pretty much demolished all of the clothes he’d worn from his spitting up.

We drove over to the Beach Club to make our reservation for the Cape May Café. We were there in March 2009 when I was pregnant. LOVED IT! We were looking forward to going back!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10161.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10162.jpg

I absolutely adore this resort and hope to one day be able to stay there. For now, paying an extra $1000 for the upgrade to deluxe resort just doesn’t make sense to us. Still, maybe for an anniversary trip or something! Aaaah, it’s so beautiful, isn’t it?

Well, the Cape May Café was delicious but we didn’t really get to enjoy it. Thomas was DONE for the night. Done done done! I tried feeding him, tried putting him in the Ergo and jiggling him around….nothing seemed to help. I think he may have had some gas. Poor kid. After a while he calmed down but really the dinner was a bit of a waste because I never got to sit down and John was trying his best to help. Still, a bad night at Disney is still a night at Disney  We got back in the car, drove home, got him in the bath and he was happy again. Fed him one more time and he was out in two seconds flat! We too were exhausted and were asleep by 8 pm!!!!

Magic Kingdom opening is planned for the next day! Stay tuned! And thanks for reading!

99th percentile for height and weight) so I'm not so sure I'll want to wear her everywhere:scared: We're still practicing the back carry possition, which I like much better then the front cary... so we'll see how that goes.

i love your hubby and i don't even know him! good for you for doing DVC! DH and i always talk about it but since we don't really stay in the deluxe resorts we thought that it wouldn't be worth the $$ to buy in. still, i'd always like to do it one day!

your DD is so much bigger than my guy! he's barely in the 15th percentile and that's up from all his previous checkups where he was in the THIRD!!! he was less than 6 lbs when he was born so i'm ok with him being small since he started off so small. haha.

i like the back carry on the ergo and so does thomas. i can't do it on my own though. need help to get him in and out. or i need a bed or couch!

Great update(:
Wow, I've never seen the parks so empty (even if it is first thing in the morning:goodvibes)
The Beach Club looks beautiful

thanks!!!

by the way i just saw the quotes under your name. john and i were bummed when we went on TTC and there was no mention of mr. tom morrow. now he'll never know where he's supposed to go!!!

Wow, nice day (except maybe for dinner!) The empty park is so cool. :goodvibes

We stay at AKL, which is cheapish for a deluxe - but then, it isn't the BC, either. ;)

Really love your trip report so far. We are leaving in 5 days and staying at the Boardwalk Villas and can't wait. I grew up in the Bronx so I can relate to cynical and sarcastic. Don't mess with us Bronxites! My younger daughter has had reflux since she was born so I can relate to that as well.

We took my older daughter for her first time when she was 10 months and have been back pretty much every year since (she is 15!)

I remember those days when they were younger and feeling like a pack mule carrying all the baby stuff. It get's better.

Looking forward to reading more.

a few visits ago we took a ride over to the AKL. ahhhh, so beautiful! a safari in kenya is on my bucket list - maybe i'll have to edit it to a stay at AKL. lol!

really, i can't complain too much about dinner. if i were a baby abd had just spent a full day at the parks, i'd have a meltdown too!! next time we will just have to book less expensive meals. even though cape may cafe is a buffet, it's not cheap!

I always liked the Throggs Neck area. I grew up near Lehman College.

She is 12. When she was a baby they put her on a medication that was later recalled as it causes cardiac problems. Fortunately she was only on it for a short time. She seemed to outgrow it and we thought it was gone. Then when she was about 7 she started puking again and coughing all the time; not all the time, usually at night when she was in bed (lying down). She never told us she had pain until we were at the doctor's office and he pressed on her tummy in a certain spot and said to her it hurts there doesn't it and she said yes. They put her on prevacid and it cleared up quickly. She has had 1 or two minor episodes since then but nothing major. She hasn't taken any prevacid for years. Once in awhile if she eats a lot of trigger foods (tomatoes, fried food, etc) she will get sick but it's rare these days.

The doc told us that although the general thinking used to be you outgrow it, now they are thinking it might be a life long illness. So far she has been okay controlling it with her diet and to tell the truth she isn't really that good about doing that:rolleyes:

Love that :cool1: the park is empty, but I thinking when we get there it is going to be crowded. :scared1: The Beach Club is my favorite resort, it reminds me of home. I love  the location it is close to DHS and Epcot. Will be there in four days and I hope we can get out with the snow storm coming.

the snow is "supposed" to come tonight (probably tomorrow where you are) and i hope it leaves quickly for you! i bet by then they'll be able to clear the snow. it's not like you're in the south where they just aren't as prepared as we northerners are!

have fun at the beach club. john and i usually walk to/from DHS and epcot. it'd be so nice to stay at one of those resorts!

i really caught him at a good time in those pics! john looked so excited and thomas looks so inquisitive! he's too young to be afraid of any of the characters. i'm sure the next visit won't go as smoothly with them! there's a little girl in our mommy & me class who is two. when the priest came in (mommy & me is through the catholic school) to bless our throats on the feast of st. blaise the other day, the girl saw the priest in his robes and FREAKED OUT! i guess some kids are just not fans of anyone dressed up!

Subbing! You had me hooked when you were nursing in the Ergo...I've done that with DS on 3 disney trips and umm...pretty much every day of her life with DD. Well, some kind of sling, anyway. The Ergo is great for Disney trips, I love the hood. Do you like the sucking pads? I've thought about getting them. And isn't having them napping on you the sweetest thing ever? It's the only way my kids napped (they're horrible sleepers, I hear you on 6 am is sleeping in) and I know those are memories I'll cherish when I'm old and grey. Snuggly sleeping babies :lovestruc

ha ha... prior to buying DVC we always stayed in the Values (twice in POP and twice in an AS) but having DVC has been so worth it in our opinion.. DH jumped in when he found out we didn't have to go to disney all the time... and now that we have DD I wouldn't want to go back to staying in a regular hotel room, its so nice to have the bedroom that we can close the door on her and stay up and not keep her awake:flower3: and of course... I wouldn't be going twice a year... shoot, lately I probably wouldn't have gone every year w/out DVC:love:
LOL.. my DD started out small... she was 7lbs (even) and 20.5 inches long at birth... lost weight the first week (over half a pound, they threatened to keep her at the hospital longer) then finally started gaining when we switched to formula (after MUCH fighting it on my part and many tears and sleepless days) and she's been big ever since... at least she's not just fat, she's tall too :thumbsup2
I tried to put Ellie in the back carry possition by myself once and almost dropped her:scared1: haven't tried it since... always have DH to help now :goodvibes I also love the hip cary if I know she's going to be awake for a while and I don't have anyone around to help... she seems to like that possition the most.. we'll see what happens at Disney next month. I'm running the half marathon in the middle of my trip, so she might not spend ANY time in the Ergo after that :rotfl:
I love that your DH wears Thomas in the Bijorn, I've only gotten mine to wear Ellie twice:rolleyes: but i'm working on that LOL.
Keep the updates coming!! We've been getting slammed with snow all morning and I'm stuck at home getting cabbin fever LOL

Also letting you know we had our baby boy :cloud9: on Tuesday Feb 9th at 2:35am! He is just adorable and despite a slight infection is doing really well. We have to stay in the hospital all the way until Wed since he has to have an IV of antibiotics :( But I feel blessed that they caught it very early and he seems to be feeling just fine. His name is Silas Henry

I'm really enjoying your trip report and Thomas is adorable! My son, Carter, is 18-months old and he already has been to WDW 3 times--5 months, 13 months, and 17, almost 18-months. DH and I have been married 9.5 years and have been to Disney probably 20 times, we always said once the baby was born we couldn't go as much, so far that's not the case and I love it! I think Thomas will love Disney so much more the next time you take him, it was amazing to see how much Carter really enjoyed attractions and parades, etc this time as compared to past trips. People question taking babies to WDW, but I think that's a bunch of baloney, yeah Carter will never remember these trips, but I'll remember him crying to go back and see Buzz and Woody after we left and his eyes shining when he watched the fireworks and SpectroMagic parade and panting at the giraffes at the AKL (yeah, we have a dog and apparently every animal pants ;)). Can't wait to read your next update!

By the way, we stayed at POFQ last month and we totally put Carter's pack 'n play in the bath area too. :rotfl:

Hi all! Back again for another day!

Thomas woke up today, Wednesday, at 5:45 am! Wow! Talk about sleeping in! LOL! Considering all of us were asleep at 8 am it felt like we had slept for a month! Of course I didn’t sleep that whole time since Thomas is such a noisy sleeper. But at least I got to lay down and relax for a long time! John showered and got ready while I fed and dressed Thomas. He took him out for a walk around the resort so I could get showered, dressed, and packed up for the day. I made pb&j sandwiches for lunch and brought some instant oatmeal for breakfast. I met John and Thomas at the food court so we could have our breakfast:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10183.jpg

We hopped on the bus super early to make it to the opening of Magic Kingdom. I couldn’t believe it was our 4th day and we hadn’t been to an opening yet! That’s only because we had the two character breakfasts though ;) I videotaped the opening using the flip camera but did take this one shot before the fun began:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10187.jpg

Finally we got to see the show! Finally Mickey came from Toon Town! I had been waiting to take him to the opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom since before he was born. Since before I was pregnant. All the times we were disappointed with negative pregnancy tests, with a terrible miscarriage, with countless tears, John would tell me not to worry and that one day it would be our turn to take our child to Disney. So, of course my sunglasses were on to try to hide the blubbering mess underneath. Thomas seemed to enjoy the show…but certainly not as much as his Mommy!

Once we walked through the gates we had a photopass guy take this with our camera:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10188.jpg

And of course because these photos just never get old:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10190.jpg

After our photo ops we headed over to Dumbo. We were both looking forward to taking Thomas on this quintessential Disney ride:

We’re waiting in the line here. I scratched Thomas’s head with my rings while he was in the Ergo with the hood up and I was trying to give him his pacifier. I felt SO terrible. He got over it quickly but I still felt terrible. Look at that scratch! Bad mommy!:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10195.jpg

Ok fine, you can’t really see it. But I still felt bad!

Ready for Dumbo to take off!
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10198.jpg

Thomas seemed to enjoy it but he was really tired so he started to squirm halfway through the ride. Good thing it only lasts like 30 seconds! We decided to put him in the Ergo again to get him to take a nap and we just strolled around and around. I have to point out now that just “strolling around” on my previous trips was a big no-no. I was always going going going when it came to Disney. Always going from one ride to the next and never really stopping to smell the popcorn. John always wanted to stop and enjoy the scenery and I never allowed it! Bad me! Walking around with Thomas while he napped and checking out everything on a much slower pace was really fun. It really is amazing all the detail that goes into those parks!

For instance, see this guy? He was cleaning that plaque or whatever it was with a toothbrush. A TOOTHBRUSH!!!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10200-1.jpg

It’s really amazing, right? People wonder why I love Disney so much. I guess it’s just because they’ve thought of everything! They do everything! The CMs take pride in what they do. You don’t get that at Great Adventure.

Sometime after taking that shot, Thomas woke up in Fantasyland. (Wouldn’t it be fun to wake up in Fantasyland?? Hehe) He was hungry and I didn’t feel like trekking over to the Baby Station so I fed Thomas on that bench beside Peter Pan near the bathroom. It was very empowering. Girl Power! LOL! If you were walking by you’d never be able to tell what I was doing but it still felt good to be able to do that so easily, especially after all the bf’ing problems we had for the first three months of his life. Yay. (Sorry, that is all probably TMI!)

We were looking for a “little” snack but really the only thing open with breakfast foods other than the bakery (which had a huge line) was Scuttle’s Landing. There we split a really gross muffin and cream cheese pretzel. Yuck. Should have just waited for lunch. The muffin was just a pre-packaged one that you could get in a vending machine. Ew.

It was actually a little chilly so we walked over to Mickey Star Traders (now approaching…) and we bought a blanket for Thomas. I was annoyed by this because we had a few blankets in the room and I didn’t want to buy another one. BUT, the time it would take to go back, get a blanket, and get back to the park (for free) didn’t outweigh just buying a new one for $30. Besides, it had a big Mickey on it and we’ll be sure to bring it on our next trips!

Also in Star Traders was Push getting ready to head out into the park. He is so funny. I immediately looked for the guy who was controlling Push and then realized that it was a dumb thing to do. It’s so obvious once you find him but then it takes the fun out of it! Next time I’m not going to look for him! Anyway, of course we looked for some trash to throw out and John went over and threw out a piece of paper.

“Hey, don’t touch my backside!” LOL!

And of course by this time Thomas was cranky – we really tried to get him to nap in the stroller but it never worked. So, back in the Ergo again. We went on Jungle Cruise while he napped.

I love elephants so here’s my favorite part of the ride:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10203.jpg

I usually really like the Jungle Cruise but the last few times I’ve felt that the CMs weren’t too into it. This, unfortunately, was still the case this time. Our guide through the jungle was soooo booooored! Oh well, we still had fun 

Afterwards we took the monorail over to Epcot. I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite park. Thomas woke up sometime when we first got there because we went straight to the Baby Center. The entrance to the baby center is right next to a Cast Members Only area which is obviously where they go for their smoke breaks. Now, I’m not one of those posters that thinks every smoker is the devil. I really don’t care one way or the other. But the stroller parking area was SO smoky. I don’t mind for me but I’d rather not have Thomas breathe in all that smoke. Still, we just parked and took him out right away so no biggie.

After the baby center feed and change, we headed over to do Test Track. There was pretty much no line for the single rider so we didn’t bother getting a baby swap pass. John took some shots both while they were waiting for me and on the ride:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10210.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10218.jpg

lol! Weeee! Don’t you feel like you’re on the ride! Haha.

By now we were ready for lunch and we decided to try something new. We headed over to the world showcase and went to Morocco.

Waiting for our food:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10228.jpg
We split the chicken wrap and an order of hummus and chips. I really enjoyed it. The chips were so good – greasy and delicious!  Thomas woke up sometime during the meal which was a shame because I knew he still needed to sleep more. We put him back in the stroller (again, hoping he’d nap – ha!) and strolled over to the American Adventure. We each got an ice cream cone. After that gross Gertie’s experience we were determined to have good ice cream!

We walked with our ice cream over to Italy to take another look around. Thomas, like I said, was tired and CRANKY! Poor baby. I wanted to finish my ice cream before I put him back in the Ergo so to try to get him to calm down a little I gave him his first taste of ice cream! He was screaming in between tastes! It was so funny and so cute. We got a video of it but also managed a few shots:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10234.jpg

A very sad little tear and a very yummy big ice cream:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10239.jpg

And after we took the ice cream away:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10240.jpg

I think by this time Thomas was just…done. We booked it over to the baby center where he had a bit of a meltdown. After some nursing in a quiet place and some extra snuggle time with Mommy, he fell back asleep in the Ergo and was out while we rode Figment. Even the loud noise during the ride didn’t wake him!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10241.jpg

After more walking around while he napped, we hit up the Character Spot once he woke up.

Waiting in line:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10244.jpg

This one is my favorite. I love his expression. It was like 100 degrees in there so I’m beet red:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10220.jpg

Next we went to Mission Space. John went on the Orange part while I stayed with Thomas and gave him a water bottle to play with:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10248.jpg

There was no line for Mission Space so when it took a long time for John to come out I started to worry. Did he get sick??? I walked over so I could see all the exiting people. All the way down that hall I saw John sitting on a bench talking to a CM. Oh boy. I asked one of the CMs where I was if I could just go over to make sure he was ok. She told me that if he’s sick that he probably wanted to be alone. Erm, ok, that was weird. I just told her that even if he wanted to be alone that I needed to make sure he was ok! Duh! So I walked through that hallway over to him and asked him if he was ok. “Yeah! Why? I just left my sunglasses in the cubby thing on the ride.” LOL! And here I thought he was sick!

I decided against riding (I was so full from the ice cream). We actually had reservations of ‘Ohana but decided to cancel. Thomas had already had a big day and we didn’t want to push it, especially after the Cape May Café experience. Back in the Ergo Thomas went and before we left we took a walk through Mouse Gears. What is UP with that place always smelling like a sewer? It’s a shame. I love the stuff in there but it always stinks too bad to linger!

We took the bus home and hit up the food court for dinner. John had the fried chicken and I had a hot dog with fries. Both were ok but more like endurance food than anything.

Bath, fed, and bed at 8 pm! I was asleep before my head hit the pillow!

Thanks for reading!

i love the ergo! it's THE best! thomas hasn't sucked on the sucking pads yet! haha. BUT i did see from a DISer that they suggested buying those babylegs instead of the sucking pads. the sucking pads were like $15 and probably a ripoff. i think the babylegs are much cheaper and you can get ones with cute designs!

i love when thomas naps on me - i wish he'd nap in his crib though!!!

LOL.. my DD started out small... she was 7lbs (even) and 20.5 inches long at birth... lost weight the first week (over half a pound, they threatened to keep her at the hospital longer) then finally started gaining when we switched to formula (after MUCH fighting it on my part and many tears and sleepless days) and she's been big ever since... at least she's not just fat, she's tall too :thumbsup2
We've been getting slammed with snow all morning and I'm stuck at home getting cabbin fever LOL

wow. i'd love to hear more about your DVC experience. you guys really use it and think it's worth it?

yeah, john only wears the bjorn on vacation or at the zoo. i usually wear him!

Your TR is great.
Thomas is too cute!
I love his blue Mickey hat!! :mickeyjum

thanks!!!! :)

Hi There! I just read up on your report and LTT looked awesome :thumbsup2

Great trip report. Thomas is a sweetie. We took DS1 to Disneyland Paris for the first time when he was 6 months and we had a super time. I look forward to your next update.

WONDERFUL NEWS!!! thank you for letting me know! Welcome to the world, Silas Henry!

how is he feeling?? how are YOU feeling??

:rotfl:

aw, i can't wait til thomas recognizes the characters. that will be the BEST!!

i'm so glad we took thomas this young. i'll never forget it! i'll remember enough for him too :)

Great update! I teared up when I read about the opening ceremonies. It took us a long time to get pregnant with DS so I felt so much for you reading it. I remember all the tears that I shed, and you had a much harder time than we did. It's a hard road, and I'm so happy that you have your sweet little boy. He's so lucky to have you for a Mommy!

How cute is he with that ice cream? My kids have dairy issues, so I would have been paying for that one lol, but what sweet pictures.

I agree, how wonderful to wake up in fantasyland. How wonderful to wake up at disney, period, actually. I'm glad you finally got him to nap. Cranky babies are no fun.

My DH loves the hat. He made me show him where they sell them online!

Can't wait to read more!

he really liked that ice cream! i only gave him a tiny tiny bit - i was afraid he might react poorly to it. but those couple of tastes he loved!

i'm so glad i got that hat! i put it on him yesterday! hehe

Hi, coming out of lurkerhood to tell you your DS is adorable..and also to tell you that i am going through the same feeding issues with my youngest DS right now. however, my DH and I decided to switch him to formula and we ALL have been better off since. can't wait to read the rest of your report. i'm trying to talk DH into taking a trip later this year. so, my youngest would be about the same age as yours is now.

Hi all! Back again for another day!

But I still felt bad!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10234.jpg

A very sad little tear and a very yummy big ice cream:

And after we took the ice cream away:

This one is my favorite. I love his expression. It was like 100 degrees in there so I’m beet red:

GREAT update!! :goodvibes:thumbsup2 I'm loving your TR so much.. thank you for posting!! I can't wait until our trip... 2 1/2 more weeks!
I have to say, Thomas is so cute!! I love these pictures.. such a little cuttie! (if I can call a boy a cutie LOL) where in the world did you get that ears hat for him.. I love it! Oh, and don't feel bad about scratching his face.. these kids heal so fast... over Christmas we were in Savannah walking around with DD in the Ergo and I fell... managed to do the whole "Duck and Roll" bit so I didn't fall on her, but she scraped her head.. I felt so bad.. a week later you couldn't even see the scratch.. and I'm still limping from the sprained ankle :lmao:
my DD reacted the same way the first time she had ice cream and we took it away LOL.. and now she has learned what Coldstone Creamery containers look like so anytime we have that ice cream she knows immediately and flipps out if we don't share

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]

how does renting work? is there a site that explains that? maybe that's a good way to see if we like it!

we wound up with 8 inches of snow. not bad.

wow. i'd love to hear more about your DVC experience. you guys really use it and think it's worth it?

Renting points is pretty simple... in fact, there's a section here on the Dis that you can use to rent points.. .we never rented before we bought (we always stayed value) but I have since then rented out points once and it's pretty simple to do.. go take a look at that section of the boards, there are a lot of easy to understand directions on there for renting and it really is a great way to stay in a DVC room w/out paying a ton out of pocket.
I LOVE my DVC  and it was totally worth the money. We did finance through Disney, so for the next 5 years we're paying monthly on the loan payment.... but once that's done we'll only be spending $600 a year for our vacations for the next 50 years. With DVC we've been able to take my parents to WDW; DH's brother and family to WDW; DH's MOM who would never get to go anywhere has gone with us to WDW and has gone to Hilton Head Island; we've gone on 2 trips just the 2 of us; I got to go on a solo trip; we got to take Ellie at 4 months and we've got this next trip planned next month plus we are taking my cousin and his girls over Thanksgiving... and it's all been possible due to DVC.. we wouldn't have done any of it without having the rooms "pre-paid". and like I said, I would never want to go back to staying in a single hotel room with DD. LOL.. PM me if you'd like more info since I could go on and on about how much I love it.
It did take me 3 years before I got DH to agree to go do the tour.. but once we did the tour we decided to buy in.

Can't wait for your next installment popcorn::... hope you get done before we leave for our trip :goodvibes

Thanks for your concern  We are doing well, Silas is getting his last dose of meds at 2am and then his IV gets to come out! I wonder what he will think when he is free of the IV, hospital bracelets, and baby lojack tomorrow! I know I will be thrilled and bf'ing will be much easier :) I am feeling good, a little of the baby blues have been setting in but I'm wondering if that has more to do with being cooped up in the hospital for 10 days. We cant wait to go home tomorrow!

Back again for another installment of our great trip! This day, Thursday, we were up at 5:20am. Really, it’s not that bad considering we were in bed at 8pm! It’s funny because I was dead to the world asleep and in the middle of the night I heard some kids running along the walkways upstairs and was thinking, “Why aren’t their parents scolding them for running and screaming in the middle of the night???” Then I looked at the clock – 9:30pm. LOL! They probably had just gotten back from Illuminations or something and it was not even close to the middle of the night! LAME!

Anyway, we needed to do another load of laundry so John left and got a load started while I showered and got ready for the day. I went over to the laundry room to put stuff in the dryer at about 6am. I expected to walk over there in some peace and quiet. Wrong! The place was bumpin’! There was a mom and her son in the hot tub – at 6am! There was another person doing the laundry! And there were a few people waiting at the food court for it to open! Too funny! I guess we weren’t the only ones on the Early Bird Disney schedule! We hung out at the food court and had our coffee and tea and oatmeal. At 7am when the hot breakfast items were available, we split a super greasy bacon, egg, and cheese croissant.

After our second breakfast, we headed out to catch the bus to the Animal Kingdom. Thomas took a snooze in the Ergo while we waited. We went to the left this time (usually we’d book it to the right for opening to get on Everest) to go straight to the safari. The last time we were at the opening, they did the show by the tree of life. So when they let us in through the turnstiles we just went all the way to the left. Unfortunately, they did the show right there so we totally missed it. Couldn’t see anything through the trees! I wish they still did the show by the tree of life. Oh well.

We basically walked right onto the safari and sat toward the front of the vehicle. I was happy with this as I’ve read the back is bumpier. We put Thomas in the baby bjorn so he could see but at the same time be relatively secure.

As you can see he was still pretty tired!
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10254.jpg

Two of my favorite things: Elephants and my baby boy’s bald head:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10258.jpg

Thomas was way more interested in all the trees than the animals. Still, I think he had a good time.

How cute is this???

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10261.jpg

I love elephants. Always have. In fact, John proposed to me in front of the elephants at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago when I lived there. 

We walked around for a bit afterwards and stopped by the Tree of Life for a photo op:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10270.jpg

Afterwards we hit up the baby center. It was a little more difficult to find than the others but still centrally located by Pizzafari. I don’t know what it is about Animal Kingdom but I can never get my bearings straight when I’m there. Anyway, the Animal Kingdom Baby Center was the best of them all! The little changing tables were so cute, the decorations were great and the private nursing rooms were not only big and nicely lit but the rocking chairs were HUGE and COMFY! I wish I had one of those here at home! Only problem with the baby center was that the cast member working there had terrible B.O. Yucks! He was nice though so all was good.

After the baby center trip, we headed over to Everest and did the baby swap. I was put next to a Brazilian who didn’t want to move over so I could sit next to her. The CM had to tell her to move. Haha. Oh well. Sorry lady but I want to ride too!

I took my iphone with me and got these cool shots:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo10.jpg
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo9.jpg

After we both rode Everest we noticed that Thomas was squirming around. Uh oh. We quickly went to the nearest bathroom…diaper explosion! Whoa!!!! No biggie, I had tons more outfits for him. And of course after that nice change he was ready to sleep.

Thomas went into the ergo for a snooze. We walked around and took some pictures along the way:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10274.jpg
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10276.jpg

We took a walk over to Dinoland and ate our pb&j sandwiches on a bench outside the playground. John then went on Dinosaur while Thomas kept napping. After he woke up we switched and I went on the ride. I have to say, that ride is really scary! I never would have been able to ride that as a kid!

Since everyone was awake now, we decided to do the Festival of the Lion King. I love that show. LOVE IT! Last year when we went while I was pregnant, we saw the show and there was a young girl in a wheelchair there. A real motorized, not rented wheelchair. My best guess is that she had cerebral palsy. Anyway, when they sing “In the Jungle” and get all the kids to walk around with the dancers, they took this girl around too. She had the biggest, most genuine smile on her face during this and I just couldn’t help but cry. Sometimes we don’t realize how lucky we are when we complain about things. I try to think of how lucky I am to have my perfectly healthy and beautiful baby boy whenever I want to complain that he’s not sleeping or he’s crying a lot. Anyway, I always will think of that happy girl whenever I see that show.

Thomas went back in the ergo for a nap and we decided to take the bus back to the French Quarter. Sadly, this would be the last time we’d go to the Animal Kingdom. We always cut that park short even though it’s a GREAT park! We took the boat over to Downtown Disney. Thomas slept the whole way. In fact he slept through our long stroll through the World of Disney where we bought him a baby Buzz Lightyear. He finally woke up at Goofy’s Candy Shop. Here he is with his new toy after a nice long nap:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10282.jpg

Thomas made friends with another baby on the boat ride back. It was so cute to see them “chat” with each other. And here my boys are after we got back to the resort:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10284.jpg

We had reservations at the Trails End at Fort Wilderness. We had never been there and decided to drive. Good LORD that place is huge! We got to the resort just fine but had to take a bus to the restaurant. Wow! It’s huge! And really a great place! My grandfather has a camper and I bet it would be SO fun to camp down there!

We thought the food was pretty good and Thomas was also pretty good during the meal. We gave him another little taste of ice cream and he loved it!

It was only about 5pm when we finished dinner but we were all pretty pooped from the last few days so we headed home. Bathime, jammies, feeding, sleeping by 7:30. John and I tried to watch a little of Stacy’s favorite parts of Disney. I think we made it 3 minutes. LOL!!

Thanks for reading!!

there really is so much to do at AK but we seem to just gloss over it. i've never even been on kali! something about being soaking wet in january just doesn't appeal to me. i saw that one thread in the main section where the guy really slammed AK. it's a shame b/c there is so much there. i hope to spend more time there next time (but, man, those other parks just call to me!).

the girl at the lion king is something i will never forget. it was just a great moment in time - a time where she was just like every other kid. and then there was me blubbering in the stands watching it all. lol!

What a great trip report! I just read the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am so happy you have been blessed with your son. Sounds like the two of you are wonderful parents. He is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!! My DD, now 7, was very tough as well...colic, reflux. She wouldn't sleep more than 1.5 hours at a time and that was any time of day. We waited 5 years to have another one because she was so tough. Now we have a DS2 who has been the easiest baby ever!!! If you don't pay attention to the jumping off furniture and all that other crazy boy stuff. Danger is his middle name. I'm embarassed to say that I have never checked out the baby stations in all our Disney visits. I usually just changed diapers in the bathrooms using the changing stations. Will definitely have to check them out in a May when we go. So glad you all had such a great time!:goodvibes BTW, don't know if you tried them yet but Mylicon drops worked wonders for my DD gas problems.

Yay, an update! Your DS looks SO happy in every picture! Looks like he's got the disney-love already!

We always cut short Animal Kingdom too. We'll pay for it this year though, DS loves animals more than anything. We're going to have to spend all our time there!

I think dinosaur is terrifying too! DH is trying to convince me that if DS meets the height requirements, he should go on it. (He'll be 3 or 4.) He's like, "But he loves dinosaurs!" Yeah, and if he rides that ride, he certainly won't love them anymore!

I love that you turn in early. So smart. We just keep going until we drop. It's a really terrible idea. We come home from vacation all beaten down and exhausted. Some vacation!

How was the boat to DTD? We've never done it but we've thought about it.

Great update!

So glad you all had such a great time!:goodvibes BTW, don't know if you tried them yet but Mylicon drops worked wonders for my DD gas problems.

it's funny you say you waited before having your second. thomas is just so high maintenance that i'm not sure i want another baby! he still is swaddled and rocked to sleep. in fact, for the last few weeks he won't nap unless he is on me! argh!

check out the baby centers! it's a great way to take a nice quiet breather!

Great trip report! Your son is too cute. Can't wait to read more:goodvibes

aww,thank you!!

Great update!

we were exhausted after this vacation! we just couldn't stay up late. when you start you day by 5am it's hard to keep going!

definitely take the boat to DTD!! it's so nice and you can see the SSR tree houses!

oh and i'm scared for your guy going on dinosaur!!! maybe test him on it's tough to be a bug first? that's a little scary too for little ones!

What a great story!! I LOVE seeing all of your pics - you have a beautiful family!! We have 4 dd's...3 are with us and 1 is in Heaven. So I got teary eyed when I read the part about how blessed you feel to FINALLY be at Disney with your precious miracle baby! That is how we will feel with our three little girls, but it will be bittersweet as well because we won't have our little angel with us... :0(

I have been surprised at how many rides you have been able to take your little bambino on! That gives me hope for our little ones. Our girls will be 5 yrs, 2 yrs and 11 months when we go in Oct. :0)

I have had SO much fun reading about your trip. you have so many great pics to help you remember this special occassion!!!

HUGS!!

hi everyone!

sorry i haven't gotten back to some of you. thank you for reading!

i'm a little behind with my TR but will definitely be ready with a new installment soon. we have been a little preoccupied with...

.....the fact that we're buying DVC!!! we went to the roosevelt field mall yesterday to the doorway to dreams DVC showcase. we sat with a guide for about THREE hours really going over whether or not we wanted to join. we put down our $500 deposit for 160 pts (the minimum but ok for us) at bay lake towers! we are still going to talk a little more about it until the contracts come but we're like 97% sure we're buying!!!!

(by the way, john kept calling it "bay lay" towers...he didn't even know the name of the dvc resort and yet he was sold! lol!)

i'll be back sooooon! :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

oh and thomas is NOT sleeping at all. teething is a nightmare!!!!

I am getting all my packing done today and making a list of what I still need to buy. Not too many things left. My children are so excited. My 8 year old told me he doesn't think he will be able to sleep at night now b/c he is so excited. I am so excited for them I might not be able to sleep!:cheer2:

Woo hoo... welcome "neighbor" :goodvibes Congrats!! How were the incentives for buying now? Just curious.. I've got add-on-itis again :rolleyes1 and the incentives are what gets DH to agree to increase our monthly payment  they were doing AP's but you couldn't get them for 14 months... that ended (i think) in Jan. Were there any referral incentives? you could always get a referral incentive from me :goodvibes
good luck with the Teething!!! Ellie just got her first tooth, but it wasn't too bad, not looking forward to the rest of them as I hear that is worse :scared1:

this is what we always thought. but, the fact is that we KNOW we want to do disney at least once a year for a long time. so it's a good idea for us.

we actually are going to rescind the down payment though. we've decided to buy resale - it's like, more points for less money...so...yeah. resale for us.

we'll find out tomorrow if the seller accepts our offer!!!

now we just have to call our dvc guide and let him down. ugh.

I'm really enjoying your TR! It's so hard to find TR's with little ones!

My DD turned 7 months today, so it's awesome to totally know what you're going through. I also BF and I can't believe I survived the first 12 weeks...now it's cake. I'm proud of you (and me) for sticking with it! And I totally feel you about not knowing if more children are in your future. I always assumed that we'd have two, but I don't know if I can deal with all of this again. Plus we had issues getting preggers too, so who knows if we can. We have so much in common! I even have the Trumpette hat!! They actually sell them on disneyshopping.com

I'm really enjoying your bfing tidbits and seeing the great pics. Keep up the good work!! (we'll be taking dd in August...or maybe December...can't decide)

thank you for reading my trip report and i'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. i can't imagine. and i can't think of something to say that sounds soulful and helpful. just, i'm sorry

oh, and i also have to say, you're my hero!:worship: 5 years, 2 years, and 11 months - all on a trip to disney! you are the WOMAN!!! those are all great times because each girl will have a different experience. i bet you'll get alot of "kids say the darnedest things" type stuff when you're there!

hi
i just LOVED reading your trip report! Your little fellow is soooo adorable!
It brought back memories of when we took our DD#1 when she was 11 months.
She loved it then and she still loves it now as a 23 yr old princess:
Ann and family:grouphug:

see, this is what i really want. i want to have memories of my guy growing up with disney. every trip will be different. there are things that even i, after so many trips, still notice! i hope that thomas will love it at 23 too!!!

Just came across your TR, joining in :thumbsup2 going back to catch up now. Your son is adorable :goodvibes

thanks sweetie!!! i think he's cute! haha. thanks for reading. i WILL get a new update on here asap! we are in the process of trying to get thomas to fall asleep on his own without swaddling and rocking and all that nonsense so the last few days have been CRAZY! it's hard to concentrate on my fun disney trip! haha.

Day 6

Friday morning started at 4:30am! BLAH! I suppose I can’t complain seeing as we were asleep by 8pm! Still, I was tired! I think the long days of walking and carrying Thomas while he napped was starting to creep up on me now. My hips were really starting to bother me, not to mention my back and my now sunburned face. Still, I’m in Disney – buck up! LOL! I’m telling you. ONE DAY I WILL RELAX ON A DISNEY VACATION!

We did our usual routine of John getting ready while I fed Thomas and then John taking Thomas out in the stroller while I got ready. This really seemed to work well. I met him at the food court and loaded up on tea. I don’t know about you but when I’m tired, I really tend to overeat (perhaps the reason why I seem to be GAINING weight after baby instead of LOSING). Because of this, I wanted more than just our oatmeal breakfast this morning. John and I decided to split the breakfast platter. Oh man. Awesome. Eggs, bacon, sausage, a Mickey waffle, and a biscuit. Heaven. After this we were definitely feeling fat. I can’t go to Disney without stuffing my face. All the food just calllllls to me! And there’s no way the amount of walking we do burns off any of it. And we walk a lot! Little side story: three trips ago I brought my pedometer. One day we walked 11 miles and the next day we walked 12!

We took the bus over to Epcot for the opening. I took a bunch of videos on my flip camera but it looks like I didn’t take any pictures on my camera of the opening. Hm, dumb. I actually didn’t take a lot of pictures in the morning for some reason but made up for it later 

Anyway, as we walked into Epcot to get our bags checked, the group in front of us – twenty-somethings who looked pretty tough with lots of tattoos and piercings (I always like seeing that because they look tough but even the tough guys love Disney!) – were being “pull-over” by the security guards. One of the guys in the group had a knife! Like, a big one! He apparently was a cast member too just coming to Disney on his day off…with a knife! What a dummy! It was definitely a first for me at Disney!

Ok, so since I don’t have pictures I’ll just say quickly that we baby-swapped Soarin and Mission Space. I did the green team for Mission Space as I was afraid of feeling sick for the rest of the day! And what’s with Gary Sinise’s bad hair plugs??? It’s so obvious that he’s reading the script too. It’s a shame he didn’t practice a little better! Oh well, I still love that ride!

Thomas was exhausted by now and we stuck him in the Ergo to sleep. We went to Mousegears and contemplated getting a hat for John. His head is WAY too big for hats we decided against that purchase. We then headed over to Norway:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10291.jpg

As you can see Thomas was still asleep. He slept the whole time – wasn’t even phased by the troll threatening to send us “down, down, over the falls!” silly baby.

Thomas woke up again and we just decided to walk around the countries for a while:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10295.jpg

We went over to the American Adventure and split a cookie and watched the Fife and Drum band perform (didn’t I just say I was feeling fat from all the unhealthy food???):

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10319.jpg

Over on the side of the American Adventure we saw a bunch of characters!!!

I know he is from the Country Bear Jamboree but I can’t remember his name:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10298.jpg

And then there’s Liverlips (right?):

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10300.jpg

And a few guys who need no introduction at all!:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10303.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10308.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10311.jpg

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10314.jpg

LOL! John didn’t know who Rafiki was. Men!

After that fun, we went to the United Kingdom and split some fish and chips. Good, but greasy (ok, fine, just how I like it!). Along the way we got a family shot:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10323.jpg

After lunch we decided to split one of those Grey Goose slushie. I justified having a drink because we were splitting it. Haha

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10324.jpg

LOL! Looks like I’m saying, “Not now, Thomas, Mommy needs a cocktail!”

After our drink, we decided to take the walking path over to DHS. I really enjoy that walk and we try to do it every time we go.

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10331.jpg

John got a nice butt shot of me taking a picture:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10334.jpg

of this…what is this and what’s it for??:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo4.jpg

Still walking and hoping that Thomas will actually take a nap in the stroller!:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/photo5.jpg

YAY! Finally!:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10336.jpg

Oh, and he ACTUALLY took a little snooze – ok, it was only for 20 min. still, he slept!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10342.jpg

After he woke up we went to Muppets 3D. One of my favorites! The show was starting right away so we missed the pre-show. It was only a small bummer considering we had just walked a ton and I was glad to sit right away!

Here’s drooly man getting ready to watch the muppets (ok he didn’t watch but he didn’t fuss at all during it either!):

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10344.jpg

Thomas was hungry after the show so I fed him on a bench outside of Planet Pizza. No sweat! Like I said we were all pretty exhausted so I was in no rush to do much of anything except people watch. We did this for a while and John went on Star Tours. And of course because Thomas was a cat-napper the whole trip, he went back in the Ergo to catch some Zzzzs. Unfortunately, the block party started and it was LOUD! We managed to get far enough away and he had a nice little snooze.
We had a 4:30pm ADR for Prime Time Café. I was there once with my parents when I was in college and John had never been there. The early reservation was really good for us (aka for Thomas):

Waiting patiently for our food to come:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10348.jpg

Very interested in everything!

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10346.jpg

I had the friend chicken for dinner and John had the meatloaf. I actually make that meatloaf recipe at home a lot so it was cool for him to eat it at the real restaurant. John said he liked mine better. I think he was just being nice because he finished the whole thing. The waitress wasn’t as “rude” as they probably normally are. I think she could tell that we were focused on keeping the munchkin happy and if that meant having some elbows on the table, well, then “Mom” was going to be ok with that. We did, however, further indulge with dessert. Now, I’m not one to take food photos but I just HAD to of the desserts we had. We are PIGS!:

I had a brownie sundae:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10350.jpg

And John had a boston crème cupcake:
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10351.jpg

LOL! As you can see he was very excited about it!

Feeling full and ridiculously exhausted, we just took a stroll around over to Toy Story Mania. And lo and behold, the line was only 20 min! We decided to nix the tired feeling, get Thomas in the Ergo since he seemed tired, and try to get on!

Well the line was not even close to 20 min long! After 20 minutes we were nowhere near getting on! Ugh. And shortly after this was taken:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10357.jpg

Thomas had a major meltdown on the line and we just needed OUT! We wound up taking the emergency exit by Mr. Potato Head. It led us right outside and we took the bus back home.

It was really TOO early to go to bed, even by our standards, so we went to the food court and got some refills on sodas and fed Thomas some apples and oatmeal.

We headed back to the room, bath, jammies, fed, and in bed. We were all spent!!!

I definitely like the black one better! I actually have the purple Minnie one (it's on Amazon).

I also wanted to say that if anyone is thinking about the Ergo, you should try a Beco too. We have both and the Beco is awesome, because it has an extra insert that allows you to switch from person to person or front to back carry without taking the baby out. It's so much easier for back carries.

Love the new update. So Thomas did okay with the 3D shows? I wasn't sure if we should skip those or not...

it's so weird - it's snowing in the bronx...except for where i am! the news showed pics of the cross bx exwy and it's snowing there. but here? nope. maybe it'll move over here soon.

boo! i'm sorry you're sick. feel better!

it's true - food is just soooo good at disney. i remember going as a teenager and my parents and i really didn't like the food. the fries were always gross. now? mmmm sooo good!

see, i think 7 months was a great time because he didn't "get" the characters. i hope that 16 months is a similar age! oh, and i got plenty of not so great shots - i'm just showing you the best! still, thomas really liked them - he loooved their noses! and he pulled some of rafiki's whiskers right out! whoops!

I love your TR! Thomas is very cute!!! I am getting ideas for my family's upcoming trip with our new baby. I've never been to Disney with such a young baby. He or she will be 6 months during our vacation.

marie, you'll have a blast with your new little one in disney. at the same time, with our sleepless nights lately i'm really thanking the good Lord for thomas sleeping so well at night while we were there. it would have been really hard if he didn't sleep. i suppose the key is to just wear them out during the day! LOL!

I do think we must be long lost sisters!! Thanks! Luckily she is a super awesome baby...otherwise I would already have my tubes tied! lol

we only took thomas to the muppets show and only when he was wide awake and not tired. obviously we didn't put the glasses on him. he just hung out while we watched. he was good! if he were tired or hungry or anything i don't think he would have appreciated the loud noise. we sat all the way to the right so that we could get out easily if he freaked out.

4:30! I remember those days with DS. DD sleeps in till about 6, so that's luxurious! And by "sleeps in" I mean, wakes up 5 times a night but wakes up for good about 6!

I know what you mean about the full-on body ache! Last trip we didn't bring a stroller because I always wore DS in a sling all day when we took walks and while he napped and everything at home, so I figured I could do it. Plus he HATED strollers since he had never ridden in them and would scream if you even mentioned using them. So I thought it would be fine, since it was fine at Disneyland 3 months before...but it was not! Carrying a 21 month old while pregnant for 10 miles a day? Every step ached by the end of day 2 or 3. We finally bought a stroller and DS LOVED it!. Of course he did. Now he wants "two strollers put together" so he and DD can ride together. Now that he's gotten into one he'll be riding in a stroller until he's 10! The boy is LAZY!

Is there anything cuter than babies with characters? Thomas looks SO happy, those are some great pictures! I think they just think they're big stuffed animals at that age!

I have never walked from Epcot to DHS but I think I want to try! Is it a long walk? Tell me more!

Those deserts are huge! They look DELICIOUS! I'm glad you took a picture! Yum!

That is a survey marker. It's for...whatever it is survey markers are for. I tried to google it and it was too confusing for me! :lmao: DH has a pin (for pin trading) that's one of those, and I just looked at it yesterday, which is why I have any idea!

Anyway...

the walk is so nice! it takes about a half an hour. you could do it more quickly but i don't like to rush it. it's fun b/c you walk along the boardwalk and can stop for some refreshments on the way! (beer!)

i don't know how you carried your son all that way. i would have been dying! i had a bunch of herniated discs in my back so that's no good but even if i didn't there's no way i could carry him like that for that long!

a survey marker, huh? don't know what that means either but i wouldn't mind having a job where i survey disney stuff! i'm sure it doesn't mean that i just look at disney things though!

Loving your report!!! Thomas is so cute, and so are his mommy and daddy, can't forget about them!! You have Thomas dressed so cute all the time, I just love it. :lovestruc

I'm so glad I found your TR, I've finally caught up after reading it on my IPod each time I bf my ds (6 months next week) last night, which was a lot, every 2 1/2 hours to be exact, I think he's going through a growth spurt, I'm praying its a growth spurt (although he never sleeps more than 4-5 hours at a time at the most!!). Anyhoo, enough moaning by me. I can totally relate to you (we tried for a year and half for him and although I don't think my journey was near as rough as yours, I can somewhat understand what you went through -- Wishes would bring on the tears for sure every year ;p ) We're taking Crewe (our DS) in April so he will be 7 1/2 months just like Thomas, so I'm trying to get lots of tips from your TR!! Love the black hat, have already looked into ordering it, but I also love the hat he has on in your avatar picture, where did you get that one, I LOVE IT!!

So exciting about Vacation Club, DH and I visited the center on our last trip and the girl assigned to us was a nightmare, made us feel bad for staying at POP, totally bashed it and us for staying there, I left fuming and almost in tears. I actually called and complained about her later once I calmed down, more to make sure she didn't treat anyone else like that, but I don't think it made a difference as we received a phone call from the girl after we got home asking if we wanted to purchase through her:confused3 umm no. Is it really a deal, it seems like the yearly fee was more than our vacation would usually cost??

Oh I also think our DH are kindred spirits, I get so worked up about things, like the guy who got too close to you and DH lets everything go, stays calm never gets mad (unless he's playing his video games and then the curse words fly). Dh is just too nice for his own good, I swear sometimes we wait in lines so long as he lets everyone is front of us, traffic too!! I guess I can't complain, there are much worse things in life than being too nice :)

Can't wait to read more!!:goodvibes

I understand how happy you must of been when he was born. It took years for us to conceive our first child. Once we found out we went right Mk to 'take' the baby on IASW. (we were locals)
Thomas is so cute with the characters. I love parks before opening. The ears are just too cute.
Congrats on DVC! Wow, you guys are up and at it early.

hi!! and congrats on your little boy! you will have a GREAT time with crewe when you're there in april. it was SO easy! he is so PORTABLE! wherever you want to go, he wants to go too! lol! our next trip when he's 15 months he probably will have more opinions! that, and if he's walking by then he'll probably be wanting to run everywhere! uh oh!

it's funny you mention the mean dvc guide. we actually decided not to buy through disney after all. we found a great deal through the timeshare store on a resale for saratoga springs. it's SO much cheaper! well, we let our guide know that and he has written a few sorta nasty emails! i even started a thread about it over on the DVC area of DIS. gah! as you can see from my siggy we are value/moderate vacationers but the dvc will work for us since we know we want to go at least once a year.

anywho, thanks for joining in! it's nice to "meet" you! i've been slacking a little on the update but with the dvc purchasing and thomas being a little...needy..lately, i can't seem to get enough time to devote to the report! boo! still, i'll be sure to update soon!

I'm so happy I stumbled upon your trip report! We will be going with DS in 37 days and it is so wonderful to read about your adventures. I can just picture my family doing many of the same things, it is making me beyond excited for our trip. Your son is really cute, and this is coming from another mother! I used to think all babies were cute, but then I had one of my own and started spending more time around babies, and I've come to realize that some are cuter than others ;) Thomas is definitely top-notch cute! :goodvibes

Way to go with nursing in public! I also had some trouble nursing at first, but after the first few weeks its become second nature. I thought it would be weird nursing in public also, but we live in DC and I'm out and about alot, and I quickly learned that you've got to do, what you've got to do! I've nursed DS in upscale hotel lobbies, on the metro, at the Smithsonian, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial...this kid really likes his meals with a view :rotfl:

Please keep the updates coming! I'm loving reading your new perspective and its helping me count day the days until my trip. I've always been a commando park tourer, so I'm a little nervous about being dissapointed in having to go much slower, but you are showing me that there is something to be said for stopping to enjoy the small things. The only thing I've got going for me is that Everett sleeps in his stroller like a champ so hopefully we'll be able to manage some later nights.

Ok I am on page 5 now and thought it was a good time to say hi before reading on. I am enjoying your TR and what a cutie he is. Funny thing I wanted to say before I forget. You said he had a cord issue and now is having the reflux. Well some friends of mine have twins and one of them had an issue with her cord and she too was much smaller. She also began having major issues with projectile reflux. She has always been small too. She is now two and still has some troubles but also just didn't want to eat most of the time, guess it hurt her. She has had testing and such too. They now have her on gluten free diet and it has helped but she still will have reflux now and again. They too had her on reglyn (sp?) but it didn't go much for her.
Ok back to the TR. We just got back from taking my grandson who was 14m at the time in Dec. It was nice to just have that time with him and see his excitement.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here! If you do, then just ignore my post! :goodvibes

Not my thread, but I breastfed DS until he was over two and hoping to go longer with DD! DS was a preemie and didn't get the hang of nursing well for a few weeks either. I would nurse as often as possible (seriously, DD nursed the whole time she was awake and sometimes while she was sleeping when she was new. More than once an hour, probably. It actually makes parenting much easier. Crying? Tired? Other problem? Nurse. It keeps them quiet and happy and is good for them too. That's the secret to my parenting strategy for the first year! For any problem, doesn't matter what it is, just give them some milk!) and if he's sleeping and you don't want to wake him then pump during those times if it's been more than an hour. But I would wake a new, slow to gain baby at least every 2 hours to eat anyway. Or maybe any baby, I like to keep them fed!

Don't give up! 3 weeks and not at birth weight isn't the biggest deal, DS was like that because he would start to nurse and then get tired and fall asleep, but he got back up there. Your body is meant to do this, so it knows what it's doing, even if DS isn't gaining weight fast. They're just used to formula babies who gain weight quickly because they get lots more food than breastfed babies do. As long as he's gaining, there's really no problem. I nurse for YEARS and I don't have a great supply. I have an adequate supply, but when I read about mom's spraying milk everywhere I have never done that. I don't even leak. I make just the right amount of milk!

Do you like oatmeal? It really ups your supply. I would eat oatmeal (I liked those "oatmeal to go" things, they're like cookies! haha) and drink tons of water, those will both increase your milk production.

Sorry for the ramble, I just wanted to offer a little encouragement! Good luck! And good for you keeping at it! :lovestruc

ditto ALL of this!!! i would have written the exact same stuff! thomas hadn't regained his birthweight right away either. just keep feeding him. i bf'd thomas CONSTANTLY the first 6 weeks or so. it was HARD but worth it!

i don't spray or leak or anything like that either. i know i make plenty of milk though because thomas is triple his birthweight now at 8 months!

sometimes i don't believe the people who tell us we don't make enough. don't put too too too much weight on that.

by the way, i'm writing this while i'm having oatmeal for breakfast! i think it helps. at least it's good :) mix a spoonful of peanut butter in it and it's delicious! of course my spoonfuls seem to get bigger and bigger :rotfl:

hang in there. silas will grow!

oh, also...i never pumped...for what that's worth :)

ooo! how was it with a 14 month old? dh and i are thinking of going back in september when thomas will be 15 months!

i wonder if there is any correlation with the cord and the reflux issues? oh i hope thomas doesn't have to do the gluten free thing. sure there are so many choices but it's SO hard to keep up with! if it helps him then i'm all for it though. thankfully, his vomiting has been improving. yesterday notsomuch but the days before there was very little puking!!!

i lived in DC for three months doing and internship. loved it! a bunch of my college friends live there now! good for you for feeding DS at all those places!!!

ah, see, thomas was an excellent stroller napper...until we got to disney! hopefully your guy will still nap well but just in case, do you have a sling or something? in case you haven't noticed, i'm a fan of the ergo! lol!

don't worry, you'll be able to move slower at the parks. i was afraid we wouldn't be able to as well. but you will! when the little guy is taking a snooze it will be fun to just people watch. maaaan, that is fun! especially at disney!!

i hope you have a wonderful time!!

I'm so glad you didn't mind my jumping in! :)

I agree. If it was anything but completely and totally uncommon to not make enough milk, the human race would have died out a long time ago...formula, and even domesticated milk-making animals are very recent in the big scheme of things! Definitely just trust that your body knows what it's doing, and it's doing a fantastic job at it! He's growing, so that's how you know! How fast just doesn't matter, everyone gains weight at different speeds, including babies.

I never pumped either. I would really say that it's completely unnecessary if you're nursing often, since a baby is much more efficient than a pump is...you'll never make as much for the pump as you do for the baby. But if the lactation consultant is recommending it and it gives you piece of mind, then there's no problem with it either.

Well he was 14 and half and it wasn't bad really. He thankfully would cat nap in his stroller. We did have a bad idea to use the left over Frozen breast milk we had to take with us. He was on reg. milk but we thought for the plane ride it would be great as we could take it on the plane. Well he ended up getting diarrhea from it and there were a few times of blow outs. Dang, what a stupid idea that was.
We had no trouble with him sleeping as he would be worn out by the time we went to bed and slept in too. We never made it to rope drops but we were ok with letting him wake up nice and easy.
He was looking all around and pointing and just loved the characters (not stitch though).:confused3
Really hope to go around this time next year. We want to do the cruise with him too.
Well hopefully no gluten free diet. I know it's so much more work, but if he does need it once you get use to things and find the right stuff you'll do great.
I believe some of the food aversions came from force feedings. The mom was so scared they weren't gaining enough and made the nanny feed them every single drop even when they didn't want more.
Oh and wanted to say, congrats on being able to do BF in public I had bought a great cover when I did it.
You seem like your a great mom.

Thanks for the advice Lexmas and Nancy. I bought some oatmeal and oat n honey bars today. I have been taking more milk plus too (a supplement I got at whole foods) it has fenugreek in it to which I heard helps with supply. We go to a bf support group on Tues and I will weigh him them, I hope hes back to birth weight. He'll be a month old on Tues...time flies!

I am all caught up and my boys and I have loved reading your trip report tonight. Thomas is JUST ADORABLE!! I love all the family pictures. Such wonderful memories that you will have forever. We took my oldest son when he was 9 months for his first trip, and my second son was 8 weeks old. So many great family memories- that is why I love Disney so much!! We are heading back to the POFQ next year and enjoyed your pics so far of the resort. Whenever my little guy would see Thomas he would say "baby Owen" that is him.... he doesnt understand that there are other babies in the world besides him :rotfl2: Isn't it amazing how tired you are at the end of the night when in Disney!? My husband and I have always said, boy it sure would be nice to stay someplace with a balcony so we could sit outside and have a nice glass of wine while the boys sleep... wouldn't you know we just got back from the Poly and we didn't sit outside ONCE! We were asleep as soon as the kids were- maybe even before!!

Can't wait to read more!

So here we are, Saturday, our last full day at Disney! Time goes way too fast when you’re at Disney! It’s not fair! We started this day at 4:45am! Again, we can’t complain because we were all in bed by 8pm. We did our usual morning routine of John getting ready first and taking Thomas out in the stroller while I got ready for the day. When I met my boys at the food court I saw John talking to the same guy he’d been seeing every morning. He was from Charlotte, NC and was always out walking his 8 month old daughter around while his wife and two other kids slept. LOL! I guess we weren’t the only ones on the early bird schedule! It was nice talking to him and I really had to hand it to him that he had three young kids! We were struggling with one!

Here is Thomas getting a good stretch while we had our coffee and tea. It was early for all of us!:

http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/oo62/tyrrne02/1-10368.jpg

We took the bus over to DHS since that park had the extra early hours. You know, when you wake up at the crack of dawn, you might as well take advantage of the early hours! We met a really sweet couple with their two little girls while we were waiting for the park to open. Of course everyone at the opening turned into a bunch of savages to get to Toy Story Mania. I admit it, I’m one of those savages. We walked straight to TSM and got fast passes! Hey, at least we walked and didn’t try to run past the cast members! ;) Thomas was asleep in the ergo at this point so we decided against waiting in the stand by line. We walked around for a bit until Thomas woke up. We were right by Mickey’s sorcerer’s hat when we spotting Donald and Daisy getting ready to take pictures! Yay! We waited behind a group of 4 Japanese girls all dressed like Daisy and Minnie. It was…weird. LOL! But, hey, whatever! No shame in loving Disney  We got some really fun pictures with Donald and Daisy and they really spent a nice amount of time with us!

Nice double chin:

Well, by this time it had been about 5 minutes since we’d eaten ;) so we headed over to Starring Rolls for second breakfast. We split a bagel and a cinnamon roll. While we were eating Thomas sat in his stroller and played with his baby buzz. It was about that time we heard an explosion coming from him so we headed quickly over to the bathroom at the Brown Derby to change him. Thank goodness it remains open all the time!

We did baby swap for both the Tower of Terror and the Rock n Roller Coaster while Thomas took a little post-diaper explosion snooze. After that we were ready to hit up Toy Story Mania. I was really looking forward to this ride. I love everything Toy Story and the ride is just so fun.

Here is Thomas taking a look at Andy’s room from the comfort of the ergo:

Almost there! lol:

I wound up getting 129,000 and John got 159,000. I was ahead the whole time but that last part killed me!

We did Star Tours right after this. There was absolutely no wait. We went back to RNRC and ToT and did those both again using fastpasses we had gotten a little earlier. While I was waiting for Tower of Terror I was talking to a family who were behind me. Yeah, they were totally not interested in talking back. I kept talking and they just kept “uh, huh”-ing me. LOL! I felt like a total loser. Shut up, Nancy! I guess not everyone is super-totally-into-Disney like me.

We decided to take the boat over to Epcot. Another thing we’d never done! I was feeling too lazy to do the walk again and the boat sounded great. Plus, you don’t have to fold up the stroller to get on. Perfect!

Can you see the people through the window? They were fishing! Cool! How do you get to do that??

After the boat ride, I could tell that Thomas was hungry so I fed him on the bench right at the International Gateway. After eating he was very happy:

I was getting hungry again (shocker!) so we decided to try the quick service place at Japan. We love sushi so I figured we could get some good sushi there. We got a couple rolls and the teriyaki chicken. The rolls were only ok – they were just like the kind you’d get at the supermarket. And the teriyaki? Gross! Bummer. No biggie though because you know what made up for it? Oh, an ice cream cone outside the American Adventure! LOL! Of course!

We continued walking around the world and decided to go on the Mexico ride. Gah! I really can’t stand the three caballeros. I miss the old ride! I’m glad they still show the cliff divers in Acapulco though. My parents and I used to go to Acapulco every year when I was a kid so it was nice to see something familiar.

We left the World Showcase and got on Spaceship Earth. Finally Thomas got to ride it while awake! As you can see, he still is handsome in the future:

hehe

When we got out of Spaceship Earth it started to rain. Not bad but hard enough that we just stood under the roof of the gift shop by SE. We decided to go in and check things out. John really likes the retro Epcot t-shirts and in fact was wearing his favorite one that day. We found a cool blue one at the shop and bought it. That’s about it as far as the souvenirs go – Baby Buzz and a t-shirt. We made up for it in snacks ;)

We headed over to Ellen and got a seat on one side. We waited for the show to start but Thomas started to really get fussy so we bailed. Sorry, Ellen. We’ll catch you next time. We walked over to the baby center for some quiet time and a feeding. Back in the ergo he went so we decided to go to the Land and get something to eat. Didn’t we just eat? Yeah well we were still hungry! We split a turkey sandwich on focaccia bread. Blech, didn’t hit the spot. 0 for 2 on the lunches. That’s not like us. We did some more walking around Future World as it was barely raining by now. John got a Mickey ears ice cream sandwich and I got a frozen banana. (and then we wonder why we’re overweight!). I love those frozen bananas! They are so good. I tried making one at home. Wasn’t the same.

Afterwards we did single rider for Test Track. The single rider was way faster than doing the baby swap/fast pass thing. While I was waiting in single rider, a woman with her maaayyybe 4 year old son came up behind me. The woman was with a friend or sister or something and she basically said to her, “we’ll play dumb and they will just let us on.” Of course, my Irish temper started flaring and it took a lot for me not to say something. Not fair!!! Well, don’t you know the cast member asked the lady how old the little boy was and he said four. Cast member told her that he could not ride by themselves and they would have to go back to the stand-by line. Ha! I think the lady thought the cast member would just gently remind her of the rules but still let them all ride.

Here are John and Thomas outside of Test Track:

Well, it was the “end” (by our early standards) of our last full day and we were totally exhausted. We decided to take the bus back to the resort and have dinner there. But first I wanted to do a last load of laundry. Put the clothes in the washer and walk to the change machine – broken. Blah! Had to walk over to the gift shop to get coins. Annoying but I got over it once I filled my mug with some of that new pomegranate lemonade they have. It’s pretty good, especially with some sprite added to it. We both wanted something we knew would taste good so I got a hot dog and John got a cheeseburger. Thomas hung out in his stroller and had some of his own dinner while we ate:

I admit the pictures for this day were kind of lacking. Lots of Thomas but not a lot of the Disney surrounding. As you can see my world now revolves around him ;)

Great update!

So funny that DH met another up with the baby dad every morning! I love it. And yes, 3 little kids? I don't know how. Glad to know it's not just me! :lmao:

I've never met daisy. That's so cute that they were both together!

Oh no, I hate when I'm trying to talk to people and they're not interested. Because I just keep talking. My brain knows I should stop, but my mouth has no such agenda! :rotfl:

Sounds like you got a lot of "adult" rides this day, that's really fun! I'm afraid DS is too old for that now, he'll know he's being left out. So, no more fun rides for me until he hits 40"! (Okay, no fun rides for me the last 3 trips either. I tried to go on one while DH took DS into playhouse disney and DS just screamed and cried for Mama the whole time. DH was really embarassed. And DD is MORE attached to me than DS was, so I'm a lost cause. I can't even go to the bathroom at home and leave her with DH without her screaming for me, so rides? NO way.)

I've never done the boat to Epcot either, but it sounds relaxing! I'm not sure I even knew there was such a thing...

Those pictures on spaceship earth are the best thing ever, aren't they? I love them SO much! Adult baby Thomas is one handsome man! ;)

You did have a lot of food this day! It doesn't sound excessive, it sounds delicious! I'm jealous. I dream of just going to disney and eating all day. I'll come back 10 lbs. heavier, but who cares, really. Bring on the food! :yay:

Nice update and the pics of Thomas are super cute :) Did you get to ride TSM with Thomas? and was he in the Ergo? I was thinking about how you get to ride TSM with a baby .

An update on Silas, he gained 7 ounces this week! :cool1: He is now past his birth weight and is 7lb 15 oz, almost 8 pounds! I'm so happy he finally gained some weight :goodvibes

What a lovely last day and hey if you can't eat lots in WDW where can you? Besides all that walking burns all the calories off, I always lose weight whilst there :thumbsup2

No wonder you were exhausted--you did A LOT this day! So sad to see your trip ending, especially since I joined in late.
