I'm still on hold (25 minutes)and called before 7:00. Had the noy open message, redialed and all agents were busy:( . I think I should change my long distance carrier. It seems their switching station is low on the priority list. I feel like I am stuck at a non working red lightv and everybody else is zipping by me.LOL

Dont feel badly. I have been on hold since 7:00 AM and its 7:28 now. Hopefully they will have my resort at a lower rate when I finally get through to someone. I am not going to be a happy campy if I finally get through and the code is not better than what I have. I tried to get them to tell me last night what the amount would be so that I didnt have to call today if it wasnt any better. They said they couldnt do that. Others have been quoted prices though. Go figure.

When the Fall rates came out last week, we had no luck in getting a Poly LV Concierge rate,
and were still paying $2,869 for 8 nights. Got through to WDW Reservations early this morning, and although I had to split our stays between the Poly LV Concierge and AK savannah view concierge, my total for 8 days is now $1,935 - saving almost $1,000!!!
(Don't mind splitting stays - we really wanted to try Animal Kingdom.)
The breakdown is $239/night for AK Concierge and $219/night for Poly LV Concierge :) Can't wait until November!!!!
Good luck to everyone else.

I got WL Courtyard, 12/14-19, for $149.85 per night (tax included). Only saved me $22 over the CKO rate, and the phone call will probably cost that much, LOL! but it is the thrill of the hunt. The CM I spoke with, Asia, says they are swamped with calls and that the system is very slow and has actually crashed on her twice this morning.

I was finally able to get Poly Lagoon Concierge in Dec. for $269 (not inc. tax)! Woo Hoo! Much better than $379 AAA that I had.
I called at 6:59 and was on hold for 9 minutes. I asked about the AP rate and she looked at my ressie and said, "But you don't have an AP rate." I said, "I know, I have a new code today." She looked it up and said, "Oh, this can't be booked until the 28th"! I said, "Today IS the 28th!" LOL

I finally got through again and was told no AP rates available at BC. They had a sico room at YC with AP rate but it would only save us about $10 a night (we're only staying 3 nights this trip) over the great rate I got last week with the CKO code so I kept what we had at BC as we would prefer to stay there than YC.

$79/night POFQ, November 16-21. $87.69 w/tax. This is a savings of $153 with my original DC discount! Was on hold for 35-40 minutes, but the CM was very helpful. Made the switch in 5 minutes. Kept the same ressie number and deposit was already applied. He said that I would receive a new confirmation with AP discount. Doing the happy dance.!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

After being on hold with DC for about 45 mins I finally got through. (glad I have an 800# with my DC membership) It was worth the wait as I saved $133.00 this morning. The last code had saved me $465.00. Total savings from my original AAA reservation is $598.00. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc (Total savings from rack rate $1021.41)
Rates with AP discount:
ASMu: 11/30/02~12/9/02 Preferred View $67.20 (this includes tax)
Poly: 12/9/02~12/14/02 Garden View $182.04 (this includes tax)

After about 15 mins on hold, we got confirmed for $169/night for YC standard, and $49/night for ASMu - all for November 14-18!
We were first told, for the YC, they weren't available at all. It took a lot of persistence to get this all confirmed. .... Then, to satisfy us, we called back to make doubly-sure.

I called CRO at 7, was on hold for maybe 20 minutes. I said I wanted to check ap rates, sensed some hesitation, then gave the code from Mary's site. "Oh!" So, use the code, if you have problems.
I got ..... are you ready??? Contemporary Wing standard (the room opened up while we were talking, she was booking Garden View) for $149/night, plus tax!!! Garden was about $20/night more. We're there from 12/6 to 12/11. Then we're moving to CBR for $87.75, including tax, for the 11th to the 15th.
ASMu and ASSp were getting quickly booked, they only had preferred views for $67.25, including tax.

Try asking them to check prices with code ckn. When I called for a regular code rate when they came out, my cm told me that is what the AP code would be and quoted me the same price for my room at AP rate as I actually got it for this morning with AP, so, I assume she knew what she was talking about. Don't just give up without a fight after sitting on hold that long.

Ok I got my Lower Rate!
And I am stilled POed by the first CM and WDWTC tactics.
Here is the difference in the two calls
1st call waited 30 minutes
CM answered and darn it I did not write down her name.
I said"I want to check availability of AKL for Oct 16-19?"
then What is you address etc etc.
You have a reesie sorry rates not in system.
I said "Are you sure"
YES they are not in the system check back later today we are open until....
very bluntly and curtly.
2nd Call
waited almost 1 hour
CM answer it is Betty
I said "yes I would Like to ck and see if Annual Passholder rates are out for Oct.16-19"
CMBetty- "Yes they are, which resort would you prefer"
Etc Etc
I got a savings of $33.00 for our stay I know it is not alot but hey.
What I am upset about is that the first CM knowing my name and address and that I had a ressie told me an out and out lie! I am writting WDWTC and WDW about this.
Because I was really close to cancelling my originial Ressie because of this. We have family staying in Orlando at this time which we are staying part of the time with.So we really do not have to stay onsite at all this trip. They almost and still may do(because of the prinicipal) lose a reservation because of this CM and WDWTC attitude about existing reservations.
Sorry to rant just had to get it out.

I just got off the phone with CRO... These are the rates I got for GF.....Main Building $466/nt including tax and GV $254/nt including tax. Poly LV Conc. $321/nt including tax. I reserved Poly LV Con. with previous post for $330/nt. We are going 10/20-30. We were going to spend the whole time at the Poly but decided that we would miss the GF too much so we are going to stay 5 nights at the Poly and 5 nights at the GF. Can't wait!!!

I was up before 6:00am eastern time. Could not sleep. Came online and did one of my reward programs and checked Mousesavers for code. All set to get offline and call with code and pen/paper for opening at 7:00am. Well like always I got off computer later than wanted to. Called DC at 7:10 and was on hold for over and hour!!!
First the CM told me the ap rates were still pending, then I told her the code and she checked. Lo and behold they were there! I changed my ressie with the code from Monday to the ap code and they transfered my deposit.
Got the ASMu for October 20-25th for $358 for a savings of $113 from original AAA price.

There is a code listed for ap's on mousesavers. I don't know if it may help if you have the code to give ahead of time. Sometimes the cm's are new and just don't know where to look. If anyone gets a rate for the Fort Wilderness Cabins can you please post.

Wow! I called at 7:25 and my total call time was 28 minutes. I had called yesterday and got a fabulous CM who quoted me the rates ahead of time so I already knew what I wanted.
Anyway, the AP rates cost me $78! Okay, I upgraded resorts.
I got AKL Savannah 11/9 - 12 at $166 including taxes, I think that's about $149/night.
Then I upgraded from WL to Poly for 12/7 - 12/12 trip. Got Poly garden view for $164 -- $182.04 with tax.
No complaints about CRO from me -- but I see many have not been so lucky.

I just got off the phone with a wonderful CM. He had alot of trouble getting the AP Code but apparantly knew his way around computers and got us our Poly ressie Nov. 30-Dec. 7 for AP rate of 182.04 inc. tax. He kept apologizing for the wait but said they have been inundated with calls this morning (no kidding). He thanked me for being so nice about waiting. Apparentely the CMs are just as frustrated that the system is not working as it should be. I can't believe we are staying at the Poly! I never thought this would be possible.

Our surprise trip for the kids just moved from WL to Polynesian!
Rates so good I decided to come in a day early (late arrival) and stay at AS Sports. Never stayed at an AS before either. This will be great! My son has always wanted to stay at the Polynesian and he will be going off to college next year and probably won't go with us again for a while, so this will be a wonderful surprise for him!
AS Sports = $49.00 plus tax
Polynesian = $164.00 plus tax
CM was Eva and was great!

Called CRO at 6:58 AM,on hold for over 45 minutes. I check in with these boards while I'm on hold and decide to hang up and call Disney Travel CO. Not on hold too long but get a CM who wasn't exactly rude, but not willing to be very helpful and alittle short with me. Nothing available at the CR,tower, where I presently have a ressie, just checking to see if I can get a better rate. She tries to talk me into a different deluxe, but I tell her,3 times ,that I will keep what I have, don't want a different one, even if it means no discount. She either wasn't listening or didn't care. Kept pushing me to take a different deluxe. Then I move on to my next ressie, booked BC,water view,2nights,$254.19/night,AP rate. So, then I tell her I want to cancel Poly, which I had booked for the same nights, OK, but alittle annoyed that I didn't tell her about this in the beginning. Next, I say that I want to bok another room, at CBR, for the same nights that I will be at CR, for DDand DSIL. She says no way, can't book 2 rooms for the same dates, with AP rate, because I can't stay in both rooms at the same time. I told her that I had done this before, and that at one time a CM checked with her supervisor, and was told it was OK to do. She says that "in all good conscience" she can't do this. I mention a few times that a prior CM had checked with a supervisor, hoping that she too would do this, but she wouldn't budge on it. She did say, however, that if I wanted to hang up and call back, that alot of things at Disney are "judgement calls" that maybe another CM would do it for me. So, I hang up, call CRO, got a nice young man who booked CBR for me,for DD and DSIL. Said no problem as long as I was there to show the AP at check-in. He understood that I would be staying at CR at the same time they were at CBR. Anyway got CBR for $98/night. Long story, but feel better now that I've vented, and also got what I think are OK discounts. Just can't get a discount for CR,tower, for Oct.11-19. I guess I'll keep trying, but thank goodness I already have an existing ressie there as it now continues to be sold out for my dates. Promised my DGC that we would stay there on our next trip in Oct.:)

I called using my DC reservation number, but the call rolled over to WDTC. Spoke with CM Dana who was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, no BCV or BWV for Dec. 5-9. Our next choice was 2 rooms at YC, but it was sold out as well. I ended up with BWI for $166 +tax per night. I am very pleased with the rate, but disappointed there are no 2 BR HAFH resorts available.
Good Luck everyone!

The CM you mentioned wouldn't have been Samantha was it? I was on hold for an hour when a lightening storm put the hydro out and being on a cordless I was cut off. I called back and after 48 minutes I got this less than happy CM. I wanted Poly with the AP rates. She told me that I would have to cancel my other reservations before she could put this one through. I politely told her that if WDW put out their AP rates at the same times as the codes then we wouldn't have to double reserve. She put it through without me having to cancel my other reservation. We've never stayed at the Poly and I want to find out if it's going to be worth the extra money for us before I cancel my WL reservation. I got the Poly in December for 182.04 inc tax.
Hope other people don't have to wait as long as I did.

Well, got on the phone the first time with a CM and she quoted me 5 nites at the CB for 577.00. Then told me the computer froze and put me on hold and never came back. Well, that rate was just a little too high I felt. So I hung up and called back and got a wonderful CM named Pauline. She got in and immediately gave me the rates for CB for 12/14-19 at $438.00! Well, I jumped on that one! And then we were going to do 4 nites at AS Sports. Changed my mind real quick and now we're doing AKL 12/19-12/14 for 484.00! So for about $125.00 we went from a value and moderate to a moderate and deluxe! Happy dance for us! we can't wait! That CM was just wonderful! She was most helpful and told me that AKL rate was as low as it was going to get. Now I'm thinking we're going to upgrade in the next couple of weeks to the savanah view. Just a thought you know....hubby needs a little surprise every once in awhile. Of course I won't tell him till we get there! Did that last year too. Had the value booked for 8 nites and ended up doing AS Movies 5 nites and the Poly Concierge for 3 nites! Was he ever surprised!!!! Ok good luck to everyone else!!!!!

I just saved another $225 using an AP rate for the Cont over the codes that came out last week. I had to cancel the other ressie and rebook which meant getting credited on my credit card and sending another depsoit but I got the better CRO payment and canceling policies.

Well, I was only on hold for about 15 minutes (luckily I'm a member of DC - boy my membership has sure paid for itself with all the long distance I'm saving) and was told that WL was entirely sold out for my dates, 11/22-29. I actually wasn't too disappointed since we already have a great rate of $154/total night courtyard view. I also was worried that an AP wouldn't pay off since we might not get to WDW again within a year.
Glad to hear some others got better rates this morning. Sorry for all that were told the rates weren't available.

Made two calls to CRO this morning. First call, the CM said the AP rates were supposed to be out today, but had not gotten into system yet. On the second call, the CM was able to get the AP rate using the code. Anyway, for Dec. 18-28 at Wilderness Cabins, I saved another $111 dollars. This brings the total amount saved from my original DC discount to a whopping $711!!! I am thrilled with my new rate. I REALLY wanted to do the Poly because the rates are SO great. However, my two DDs want the cabins for Christmas. I guess I can hope that another great rate will become available at the Poly for our June 2003 stay! Can't wait until December.

We were on hold for over an hour.....
We'd have changed our travel plans if the discount was significant, but 12/19 was already sold out for our location. We like to do Christmas/New Year's week- and were going to book from 12/19 - 01/02.
No luck, but it would have been a $10.00 per night savings.
It's hard enough to get away from work for a week, to consider 2 weeks is almost beyond us.
It was fun though- we gave a relative's name and address (who never goes to Disney) to get the information we wanted without having our (many) reservations showing up on her computer. She'd have thought we were SERIOUSLY nutz.
Good luck to all!!

Just hung up after a short (less than 5 minute) wait. I told the CM, Lacey, that I wanted to change existing reservations up front. She was very polite, and was able to add the AP rate to my existing reservations with no problem -- unlike last week, when I tried to have the CKO code applied, and had to cancel and rebook!
Anyway, we got POFQ for 10/5-10/12 for $99 per night, and CBR for 10/14-15 for $99/night.
All of my lurking on this board has definately paid off! Thanks to all for your great tips!

I just changed my WL CKO standard room to a AKL CKN AP rate standard special needs room, $109 or $120.99. There were no standard rooms available at the AP rate at WL for our time frame. I did get a new reservation number directly from the special needs dept, so we are getting a king bed, hand rails in the tub for $109. Thats a good rate.

I have saved $439 between two trips. We are going in Oct. & staying at the Caribbean for eight night. When I first made the reservations we were paying $1163 - now with the AP it is $790. In December we are staying at All Star Music for 9 nights with 2 grandchildren. Original price was $621 with the DC discount - then changed to the new posted DC code last week & got $555. Today I was told only the 'preferred' locations were available & it would be $605 with the AP. I stayed with the DC code & am getting the mini golf included!!! I was only on hold for about 5 minutes (called at 10:00 Minnesota time) - Cleveland was very friendly & helpfull!!!!

We have 2 woods view rooms reserved at WL from Dec. 19-27, now at about $133/night from Dec. 19-27. Lowers our total bill by about $160! Still considering calling back and changing to a single standard room at the YC - if we fit us and our 3 big kids in one room without going crazy  .
Spoke with Belle Marie, who was very helpful!

Called around 10:30, as they were doing the automated I'm putting you on hold thing the cm picked up. We got POR for 730 for Dec 14-21. Saved another $47 off the other code from last week. We are 3 adults and 1 child. I told her that one of the adults is my dependant daughter but she says they don't discriminate so anyone over 18 is an adult. Our base rate was $79+$15 adult + taxes. Waterview would have been 808. We're happy.

2 rooms/2 nights= $220 including tax at All Star Sports
Tried for 1 room at a deluxe- they had nothing!
I think we will be more comfortable in the 2 rooms, anyway.
It will be DH, myself, DS (4), niece(13 and nephew(15).
She guaranteed me 2 connecting rooms because we have more kids than adults.

Time to start up a new countdown clock, 100 days for me!

Just called to modify my rate to the AP code for Dec 13-17 and got a rate of 149.75/night with tax.
That's down from 154.25 - not a lot, but it's still a good savings
FYI - the resort has nothing but Courtyard view avail on 12/13
Best of luck to everyone...

Had ressies at the Caribbean Beach, Animal Kingdom Lodge & Wilderness Lodge at the CKO code discount. The rates (including tax) for the CB was $94.33/night & $132.09/night for the AKL & WL. I called this morning and was able to get the AP rate at all of the resorts. The rate at the CB dropped to $87.67/night and the rate at the AKL & WL dropped to $121/night. All of the rooms are standard views. Saved over $126! May not seem much, but every penny counts!!! I was happy when I was able to get the discount code rate, but thrilled that the AP rate was even lower. YIPPEEEE!!!!! Now it's on to figuring out dining choices and waiting for Southwest to announce fares for that time period. YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Just got off the phone a little while ago with a very helpful CM. Got right through with no waiting was able to get a lower rate on my WL Oct 30 - Nov. 2 trip and she also let me change a ressie that was in my mom's name. Got the lower rate for 4 rooms (she checked with a manager and okayed it) at BW Dec. 13 - 15.
Very helpful and pleasant CM!!

Well, I saved a little too.
I originally booked a Polynesian Garden View room at the public code rate of $199, but switched to the AP rate of $184 per night for the last week of Oct. I'm not saving a huge amount, but at least it is something. We're pleased.

I was out of town this weekend, so my mom made the phone call at 6:00am this morning. She was on hold for 45 minutes, but she did succeed in getting two rooms at AsMu and saved $288! Woo hoo! :bounce:

Was unable to get the AP rate for ASMu for the first part of our stay, but I can't complain about the $55 code rate;)
I have to admit I have been rather disappointed in some of the AP rates lately. This time, however, they are fantastic:sunny:

Just got a great rate at CBR. $87.00 a night waterview w/ a king size bed. I was going to book AKL for $149.00 (savan. View) but decided to stay at CBR and extend our vacation by a week. I didn't even wait a second on hold. It did take the CM awhile to book our ressies but she didn't know what the codes were for and kept loosing them but all is well that ends well. And were off to 16 nights at CBR in 3 months for my DH suprise b-day trip. I hope I can keep this a secret!!!!!!

Taking a short little visit, just dh and me. I called around 11am on 7/28, about a 7 minute wait on hold, got a really nice CM. His computer kept going down and he kept apologizing, he said they have a new system and I can fully understand where he is coming from, anyway.....
I got POR, requested Magnolia Bend for $87, including taxes and everything for a total of $263, standard view! We could of had a king for $296, but opted to stay with the standard. I figured that it will just be dh and me and if we really want the room, we could each have our own double ;) besides it's only for 3 nights - we'll live.....
happy camper here :Pinkbounc
We got a waterview room for $229 per night at the Yacht Club for 10/26-10/30.
I got ASMu for $54.80 per night with tax for 10 nights in November. I had originally booked three different resorts during that 10 night period, including a few nights at PR and a few at AKL. When the $49 ASMu A/P rate came out yesterday, I ran the numbers and realized I would save $700 by staying the entire time at ASMu. That will pay for our room during our Halloween visit in October 2003 so with some sadness, I cancelled the PR and AKL. I feel better today, knowing I have the money to return in 2003. The CM had the very pretty name of Cherian and was very patient despite the computer crashing, data input not being recognized, etc. etc.
I had all of my deposits transferred so that when I check in, I will owe only $25!
The CM advised me to call back in two weeks to make sure that the original reservations were in fact cancelled so that I don't get charged for them later.

I just got off the phone and I am shocked! I was totally prepared for a difficult time and a long wait, having read all the posts from the last 2 days. I knew people had also had trouble with WDTC when they got them instead of CRO.
Well, I called and got a wonderful CM at WDTC, after about a 30 second wait! I simply told her I wanted to book a room with an AP discount and she looked up the availability immediately. She never tried to talk me into a different resort, or a package, or anything like that. It was so easy! :bounce: :bounce:
So I was able to get As Music (which I've never stayed at before) in November for only $55 a night with tax! I had planned to split my stay with POR for 3 nights, but I just can't pass up that rate. This way I'm saving over $100 more and I'm going to use the extra to take the Keys to the Kingdom Tour which I've always wanted to do.
Thanks everybody for all your great tips!

Learned a good lesson. Wanted WL 12/14 for 6 nights. No dice, completely sold out at std. Opted for CBR, $87.66 with tax. I think since I made $240 I'll look into MVMCP tickets, or maybe that new Princess Breakfast if its still around.
Oh, the lesson. Book early then change.
Still thrilled to go, and first time CBR.

Tried about noon Sunday for 11/22 - 11/30 two-rooms at All-Stars and no availability.
I already have the $55 + tax with mini-golf DC rate, so I'm not too upset. I'll just keep trying once a week, and if I get it, great, if not, oh well, it's only about $50.00.
I sooooo HAPPY! :D :D :D :D
My agent at DU got me a rate of $98 (tax included regular season) at POR for 8 nights. Originally $170.94 rack, then got $109 with codes.

I had made reservations at CBR 10/25 and 10/26 with the CKO code last week, and the CM said be sure to call back on the 28th. I called about 2 pm, got through in about two minutes and Dorcas (CM) was able to save me $22 more without changing the reservation number. Thanks to Mary at mousesavers, and everyone here on the DIS boards!!! Our cost for two nights is $198 with tax.

I had the CKO rate of $85/night for POFQ, but I called for AP rates for WL and AKL.

we have been lucky with the new rates. We have a Fort Wilderness Cabin reserved for 10 nights, November 6-16, for 4 adults. We have been able to successfully change our reservation twice in the past week.
Original reservation was using Disney club discount and had a total price of $2226.
On July 22nd, used the CKO discount code (base rate of $139/night) - total price (including $10 for 2 additional adults and tax) - $1654
Today, July 29th, used the CKN discount code (Annual Passholders discount code) for a base rate of $129/night - total prices (Include $10 + tax) - $1543
Changing the existing reservation from using code CKO to using code CKN took less than 5 minutes.

Thanks rmontgo892 I called on Sunday and got the same rate for Dec 6-15. This is going to be my 40th birthday celebration and I can't wait. If you have to turn 40 you may as well celebrate at Disney. Last year we went to the CR Tower Club and although I liked the limited concierge I missed having the kitchen and extra space. It is back to the Cabins for us.

CBR is SOLD OUT for Oct. 6-12 (DANG IT!!!). The CM gave me a king-size bed, main pool view at POFQ for $109. That is $20 more per night than I was planning on spending, but what can you do??? I'll call back a couple times between now and then to see if anyone cancels.
Nothing like going to Disney and staying in a resort themed after your own hometown. Argh!

It just amazes me how confused CRO CMs can be. I used the code last week for CBR in November. Yesterday I called to see if I could change to the AP rate. Granted, it was no big deal since I was only going to save around $7/night, but every cent counts! Anyway, the CM was really nice, but totally clueless about the discounts. He went from telling me that the rates were only available thru Sept, to telling me they didn't include CBR, to telling me the AP rate was more than the rate I already had. I finally gave up since it just wasn't worth it. I just wish they would train the CMs there a little better, or at least make it easier for them to find the discounts. It's just not right that the rate you get often depends on the CM you get.

I got all four rooms in my ressie reduced to $87.69 with tax for POR THanksgiving week, and $133 with tax for WL woodsview. CRO was so helpful. I was honest that my immediate family has AP's but we are all in one room and the others in the three additional rooms were not. SHe made new reservations putting one in DH's name and one in mine to get around the "three rooms per passholder rule. I wasn't even asking for it, but she offered.
I've had great luck lately with CRO. Trip has gone from $1231 to $879.83 for 7 nights POR and 2 nights WL!!
