I was watching a little of this on the news this morning. I was so happy to hear all of this. One of the hospitals said that 3 of the 9 that were taken there were in stable condition. I hope the others are doing good as well.

We were glued to the television most of the day yesterday, and all evening. I am SO happy that they all survived.

Yes, quite a miracle. I was really getting concerned they wouldn't make it.

Such great news!! They are saying 7 of the 9 will be released from the hospital today to go home!! Wonderful!

I grew up with my dad working in the mines and I can imagine the joy and relief these families are feeling. My heart has been in my throat for days and now we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

It's about time this country had some good news and something to truly celebrate!

Hooray for all those who worked so diligently and tirelessly for days to come to such a glorious end!:bounce: :bounce:

I was glued to CNN last night til about 2am this morning. I could not tear myself away!!! To see these big burly miners (the spokesman for the mining co) breaking down, and tearing up, to see the govenor just showing his utter jubilation, and to see these jaded journalists, saying "I just want to shake your hand, great job". It was amazing.

7 out of the 9 being release today????? WOW how long do you think THAT party will be going on?

Can you imagine?
This success story will be told and retold forever. I wish I had the words that I'd like to say. I just can't get them together in my head.

I'm very proud of them and the people that came together to rescue them.
I heard that they had back up equipment ready and waiting behind other back up equipment.

I'm feeling very patriotic this morning. :)

I went to bed after the second miner was brought to the surface. Truly an amazing feat. A lot of prayers were answered.

I'm another one who had the TV on all afternoon and evening.

What an incredible story, with a miraculous ending.

It was kinda neat to see all those jaded, cynical reporters, some of them seemed almost human, LOL!

<font color=navy>How wonderful to turn on the news and see that these men were being brought up. I turned on the news when man #4 came up, and watched until #7 came up. This morning, I just saw a rerelease where the one miner had said he asked his boss for a pen so he could leave his wife and children a note. I teared up at that.

This is wonderful news!

As one who doesn't have cable TV, we had NO TV coverage of the rescue after the nightly 10:00 news ended! I got my news from the DIS and from refreshing the CNN.com site!
