Two families for dinner

We are going on our 2nd DCL cruise and another family is traveling with us. We cross reference both reservations for 2nd seating. Will DCL cruise line seat us all together or just give the same time for dinner. I may have sent this twice

My understanding is that they seat you together when reservations are linked. People I know have experienced problems with this though, and had to have seating adjusted after boarding.

We traveled with another family, and did NOT link our reservations, and when we boarded, we had TOTALLY different dining rotaion, AND time. We went to the place you go to change it, and they FIXED it all for us! It was a hard one, too. We wanted to keep "our" dining rotation, but keep "their" dining TIME... So, it involved TWO switches for 7 people (6 and an infant)... I was impressed..
