fishing at the fort

We are coming down the first week of April and I am curious about the fishing at Fort Wilderness. Is it worth the guided trip, what is the largest bass caught, and do they generally catch a bunch or just some.

Some folk may dissagree with me, but I think it would be mainly due to the cost of the trip. But If I could afford it , I would do a guided fishing excursion every time I went to Disney.
Over the years DW and I have done more trips than I can count.
Wife one time caught a 9 lb'er and I one time caught a 8 lb'er. we did a four hour trip once and stopped counting bass at 100. The very worst trip I ever did was 4 bass in a two hour trip,,thats a fish every 1/2 hour, and that aint shabby.

Yes it is pricey$$, but for that price you can have up to 5 people fish on the boat,,Disney provides EVERYTHING you need,,including drinks,,all you have to do is show up at the appointed time,:thumbsup2

April is a great time to fish Bay Lake and I personally like the early fishing excursion best.

The largest caught ? I have heard someone caught one 14 lbs :confused3

Do they generally catch a bunch? Well you gotta remember,,it is called fishing,not catching.But like I said , my worst trip was 4 bass.

My Disney Fiance, his son (15) and my brother LOVED the guided fishing tour, they said stopped counting at 50 fish they caught. In fact, we are getting married at Diseny in December this year & my fiance requested booking a fishing guided tour as his bachlor party. :worship:

There will be 5 of them & I had suggested that we hold a competition, who ever catches the most, gets a disney gift card. All the guys can not wait. We go to Disney several times a year and believe me, we're going to spend the $$ anyway, so why not spend it on something the guys want to do. :thumbsup2
