The Others??

Has anyone seen this movie? Got it in the mail today and thought about watching it tonight, but DH and kids are in bed, so it would just be me!! Is it good? Is it scary? Should I wait until tomorrow in the daylight??:p

It was kind of creepy - but not horribly frightening. I would liken it to "sixth sense".

If its the one with Nicole Kidman, it is scary. I really liked it. I would probably watch it in the daylight, but I'm a huge chicken:D

I didn't think it was very scary. I was disappointed because I figured out the ending about halfway through the movie. But that's better than the Sixth Sense - I figured that one out after about 10 minutes. :rolleyes:

Good movie. I started to watch it by myself, but turned it off around 30 minutes into it to wait for DH to watch it with me! Call me a weinie! I can't watch X-Files by myself, either!!!!

EXCELLENT MOVIE! I didn't think it was scary but it definitely has a major creepy factor! No blood and gore or anything like that. :D

Nothing gory at all, but it's extremely creepy! hehe. I love stories like that but parts of it were a bit too intense for me.

I didn't figure out the end to The Others. :confused: I like to try to figure them out but this one didn't occur to me for some reason.

I liked it though, a lot better than the Sixth Sense in fact.

I found it kind of boring, so no, I wouldn't say wait til daylight....
I also got irratated with the way they did the sound - it drives me nuts when you have to crank the volume to hear what the actors are saying, but the music & effects are then deafening...

I did like that movie... thought they did a great job, suspenseful.. Another good one in case you get a chance is Mothman Prophecies...both gave you chills..so to speak.

Saw it last week, double header on PPV...Mothman Prophecies than The Others. Didn't like either one! It wasn't scary, it wasn't good. Sixth Sense was much better, IMHO.:D

I thought it was GREAT! :D I had NO idea what was going on until the end. (does that mean I'm slow?) LOL ;) I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!!! :D

This is a great suspense/thriller movie without all the gore you usually see in today's movies. I saw it in the movies and then bought the DVD. Definitely creepier in the theater!

Did anyone ever see an old movie called "THe Other" about a boy who had pyschic powers, and he communicated with his dead twin brother, who had died falling into a well. I remember watching that when I was little once and it scared me soooooooo much.
