For those of you who have done QS, can you tell me if you have enough variety or is it mostly burgers and chicken nuggets? We have tossed the idea around to do the QS instead of the regular DP. :dance3:

Can't comment on QSDP but this trip did DDP for first time and our CS meals could easily have consisted on garbage. It's hard to find a good healthy CS. The kids loved the bakeries at MK, France in EPCOT and Boardwalk for sandwiches and pastries. Also the Earl of Sandwich. Other than that it's all trash and fries. We tried to get a healthy salad at DHS but found it hard to find the salad under the cheese/tacos and chilli. Not that the food was awful but it was hard to find enough fruit/salad/veg for our liking.

I think as long as you research carefully (as we did) before you go you can get ok food but it's hard work.

Thanks, and we are going for 12 days, so this may not be for us.

Lots of fruit choices for snacks all over the parks. and Picnic in the Park at Animal Kingdom Chicken and Home made sides fresh fruit salad. CHeck out this link it will help you :thumbsup2

My DH and I did the QSDP this past December for 7 days. I never ate a burger the whole time I was there. I had the chicken and rib combo at Cosmic ray. Salmon at pepper market. Chicken at Sunshine season, sandwiches at mainstreet bakery (MK), france bakery (Epcot) and Starring rolls (DHS). We also ate at wolfgang pucks in DTD and had a variety of foods from chicken to pasta to pizza. We are going to Disney with our DS17 in August and are planning on doing the QSDP for 14 days, my DS choice. We will pay our of pocket for 3 TS meals though.

Thanks. As a matter of fact I just subscribed to allears newswletter last night!!! You did mention lots of fish type foods, something we really do not care for, but AK's Picnic in the Park sounds great. I guess I really have to do a little research to make a decision.

For me there is enough variety to have different lunches on a 7 day trip.
To have every meal those 7 days, no way.
If going 12 days......NO WAY would I do all QS meals.

You can find, hot dogs, burgers, pizza, chicken nuggets, taco salad, turkey wraps, sandwichs, cheessteaks, ribs/chicken, BBQ pork, chinese, pork chops, turkey legs....and a bit more. But it gets old quick if you are eating it for 203 meals a day.

We loved the QSDP so much we are doing it again this year. My DH really hates the way the DDP is about tying you down to ADR's and we are the typical eat on the go so we can see more type of family . With all the different choices we ate burgers 1 time. At Pecos Bills in MK I had a taco salad (there is even a fixin bar for you) DH had a BBQ sandwich and both DD's liked that the kids menu had a grilled chicken salad on it. We liked PB's so much we ate there again another day and I got the Turkey wrap so youngest DD shared that with me and we got her PBJ uncrustable to go in the small cooler in her stoller for later. At Cosmic Ray's you have the ribs and chicken and those yummy mashed potatos and veggies. We ate these awsome turkey club sandwichs at AK. Epcot had the awsome variety in the Land, even a grilled salmon that DH thought was great , can't forget the meals in Morroco too. I did print out all the counter service menus from wdwinfo.com and highlighted all the diff foods we could try while there and made sure to put on my spreadsheet the CS we chose to make sure we got the best variety.

You can also head to the resorts counter service and have a big variety of food- the African Stew at AKl in Mara is amazing, there are normally 4 different dinner choices other than burgers at each of the moderate and value resorts food courts. I would suggest looking at the menus (available on this website) at http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm#disneydining.

We did the QSDP after a couple of times doing the regular DDP and we found that we really enjoyed not having to be in a certain place at a certain time for ADR's and not having to "save" our appetites. We are planning on doing it again next time. We enjoyed BBQ in AK, an amazing Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad in Epcot, a huge and yummy salad at CHH in MK, and much more. I don't think any of us had a burger or nuggets in a week.

We loved the QSDP! We were there for 7 days, and didn't get tired of it then. I didn't even eat one burger...

I'm going vegetarian this year - And there is plenty of variety for even a vegetarian. I also plan on not having any veggie burgers either - plenty of choices out there and yummy ones at that!

There's tons of variety of cs at WDW. At Epcot there is a cs restaurant in just about every country and Sunshine Seasons has a great selection. At AK Flame Tree for bbq, and Yak+Yeti cs has very good chinese food. Pepper Market at CSR has just about every just about anything you can think of. Downtown Disney marketplace has WPE for the most wonderful pizza, and pastas.
