Hi there
Has any one used the Ashford Holiday Inn Eurostar package? Any idea of costs/ how easy it would be to do this option for 1 adult and 2 smalls (4 & 7). How do you organise getting from the hotel to the station etc? Any experiences would be appreciated.
Trying to figure out easiest & cheapest way to get from Somerset to DLP. Drove last time but fancied a bit of a rest on the train this year!
Thanks

We've just come back this week after having used their package.
We paid £87 for 4 of us one room, for bed and breakfast, parking and taxis both ways. I'm not sure how this rate differs throughout the year though.
They give you vouchers for the taxis, you book the one going yourself from the freephone in reception and then when you return you can either grab one if there's one waiting outside or again there's a freephone at the station for you to call one, we had to and it only took 5 mins to come. Very friendly taxi drivers and helpful too.
Would definitley use it again.

Hiya, I looked into the Holiday Inn package and it's now increased abit (for when I'm going at least) to about £97.
We are now staying at the Premier Inn (£29) which is really close to the station so we will just drive across in the morning, our train is at 7am so we'd miss breakfast anyway! and park there (£69). Works out about the same as the Holiday inn and no fussing about when we get home, just straight in the car ready for the 3 hour + drive home!
Don't know if that's any help to you but just thought if you were on an early train may be easier! :)

Hello
Are you staying on the way up and way back?
If so ring ashford tourist board direct - they do good price deals for room and free parking (for so many nights - because we stay both ways it covers us for for free parking whilst away). We then catch the taxi and pay for ourselves, not far, so not expensive - works out much cheaper for us - think we paid £65 per room last year.
We have also used ashford tourist board for the ashford international hotel.
If you ring them they have about three hotels especially set up for the eurostar and never had a problem - just have to pay 10% deposit up front I think
