We are doing the 4 day land, 3 day sea on may 4-11, 2003. We are staying at the car. beach resort and also using the disney transfer buses to the Wonder. Is it true that we will NOT get to the ship until 1:00-2:00??!!! From what i've read, that is too late of an arrival time to book anything on the ship. Could anybody out there please clarify this for me.

Howdy,

We checked out of the Poly our last morning and took a bus to AK. From there, we boarded a bus around 12:00 or 12:30 for the port. That worked fine for us because we were planning to just hang around the ship, as opposed to needing ressies for anything.

However, we recall that our option was to leave from the Poly earlier than we could have from the AK. Maybe someone on the board chose that option and can comment on how early the bus took you out. I will watch this thread because we might go that route nex time.

Have fun!
;)

when we stayed at the carribean beach in Jan 2000 we did not get on board ship until 3:00pm!!!! Being first time cruisers I did not know about making certain reservations. This time we are staying at the Polynesian and I am hoping that we get on earlier because this time I want reservations for Palo and the Spa. We felt rushed and almost missed the lunch buffet. I felt like we were the last ones on the boat. One good thing is that no one was in the terminal when we got there, probably because we were the last bus!!!! Although someone suggested that maybe these reservations can be made ahead of time like some of the excursions. Does anyone know anything about this? Anyway, you'll have a great time no matter what reservations you get.

thanks for your insight with this potential problem. i think i will look into pricing the towncar option. will 2 adults, 2 children, and a normal amount of luggage fit into a towncar? rich

Shouldn't be a problem; just tell them the number in your party when you reserve. One of the adults can sit up front, the other with the kids in the back.
