My toddler son absolutely loves Toy Story. He sleeps with his buzz light year every night. i was thinking about a moderate or AKL for our next stay but now i think All Stars movies with huge story characters would blow him away! i've heard good things about All stars..so i think it would be a good choice.
my question is ..can you see the toy story section from the parking lot (especially buzz light year)? our son is 3 so he has no idea about all stars so i want to totally surprise him by playing "you got a friend in me" from his toy story cd as we pull in the parking lot to enchance his surprise! so can you see toy story from the car as you pull in??? thanks!

I don't know anything about All Star, but my son loves Buzz too! ;) Make sure you go to Al's Toy Barn to meet and greet Buzz and Woody. :D Also catch them in the Stars and Motorcars parade! :D My son zapped Buzz with his laser during the parade and Buzz pretended like he was hit! LOL :D It was so cute it made my son's day!! ;)
Rumor has it that they might start a Toy Story character meal!!! :) I really hope they do, I think it would be a great idea!! :D (as long as it doesn't turn out like CRT and nobody can get ressies) ;)

I'm fairly certain you can't see any of Buzz from the front of the hotel (check- in area) Buzz is actually on the opposite site of the nearest building (if that makes sense) Therefore you are looking at the back of the building that he is on the other side of. When you drive around the corner to get to the guest parking first you see a bucket of soldiers on the end of the building (which is actually the stairwell) If you park exactly across the sidewalk from the whole Andy's room area, then you could probably see him from the car. Unfortunately, you won't gradually drive up to him. I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions, just ask.
I would definitely request on my room ressie to be in the Andy's room area. I think if you do a search there have been previous posts asking what room numbers are in the area. I honestly can't remember. One other plus is that at last check they didn't consider Toy Story building a "preferred" building just Fantasia. However Toy Story is basically as close to the Food Court as Fantasia and almost as close to the main pool.
