Just a quick update the medals didn't happen but what a fantastic day. The atmosphere was brilliant makes you really proud to be British. It was very draining, great but draining just like a day in one of the parks at WDW!!

Anyway just to say if you are watching either there or on TV on Wednesday a work mate of mine will be presenting medals to the 4X100m Womens Relay. He is the longest serving employee in the UK for our company 40+ years. He's got the chance because the company we work for is one of the sponsers.

I've booked tickets for the rugby on Saturday for Jana and I. Now if only I could find a hotel in Manchester so I could stay the night

Vernon,

As a Hotel owner in Stockport (8 miles from Manchester) I have to say that this week has been a fantastic one business-wise. We are turning people away left, right and center although I may be able to help you out on Saturday and will PM the details.
