Day two is pretty uneventful as we were all exhausted! It took 37.5 hours to get from our house to the villa and I hadn't slept at all due to being worried about the kids etc.

We made our way from the airport - thank goodness for the Tom Tom, DH and I stopped off at Wendy's and got some 99c chicken sandwiches, Terry and Lou went straight to the villa. Once we got to the house we went straight to bed and grabbed a couple of hours of shut eye.

We got up around 4pm and went out to Costco to buy our bulk supplies, we were staying for 3 weeks and there were 6 of us so we thought we would be able to get through bulk stuff.

We also stopped by Walmart to pick up Mountain Dew!!!! I was craving it! :goodvibes Couldn't wait. We bought the usual odds and sods and then headed back to the villa to unpack. We were going to to go out again to eat but everyone was still tired so we decided to just stay in the house and relax.

The kids went to bed and it wasn't long before we all joined them.

Sorry there are no pictures today!

What a horrible start to your holiday. We had a 10 hour delay once, which was bad enough, but at least we got there the same day (just) and our children were adults. It must have been a nightmare with young ones.

luckily you were staying for three weeks. if it had only been for a week it would have been sooooo awful to lose a day.

Sounds like much needed sleep but having three weeks you can allow for a few rest days.

My DH loves Mountain Dew but I can't stand it. They have it in bulk in the shops here.

Sounds like you needed the relaxing day. Perhaps the nicest thing about a villa, you can kick back in comfy surroundings. :)

Terrible start to the holidays, it's tiring enough on a normal journey. I am glad you got there in the end.
