Is Mickey’s voice changing?

Listen to the three voice mails on this Disney blog and see of the “Celebrate” voice is as different as I detect.

We agree at our house, the girls say he sounds less mousy in the third one. deeper... we don't like it..

I was going to say the same thing. Try as they might, there are going to be some differences in the voice, especially since most people have only heard Mr. Allwine's Mickey.

Yeah, there is a difference. But then I know folks that weren't thrilled with the transition from Jimmy McDonald to Wayne Allwine. Perhaps its just what you grow up with.

The third one "I'm Celebrating" sounds terrible. They need to redo that one!

Disney has all ready selected the new voice for mouse. Bret Iwan has been voicing the Disney on Ice stuff all ready and has been recording new stuff for DCL.

Maybe it's just me, and I think I know Mickey's voice because I hear it every stinkin day because of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse....;), but I am thinking that if I had heard the celebrating one just on it's own, I wouldn't have thought anything was up with the voice. Hearing it side by side with the others, I notice the same as everyone else, but on it's own, I wouldn't have thought twice about it!

I remember hearing Kermit's voice after Jim Henson died. Eventually you get use to it, and younger kids don't know that the old one was better.

Come to think of it, I just described the last 3 Star Wars movies.

For the Celebrating it seemd like the person was having a hard time holding onto Mickey's voice and was switching back into their natural voice...its just creepy

it does sound wierd, but somone commented below the files that it was bret something or other, and hes new. must be whoever is taking over. im sure itll improve in time...or the world will come to an end.:stir:

I definitely noticed the difference when I listened to them the first day that was posted on the blog. Made me pretty sad... It was a huge reminder that Wayne is no longer with us and will truly be missed...
