Got to agree with Pete's position (again). I'll hope for the best since the current pizza offerings at WDW are abysmal. Pete's reference to Pizza Planet is most apt.

I also hope this doesn't turn into a place that sells pizza for $10 a slice. Time will tell.

Good point Pete, being best on property doesn't carry a heck of a lot of weight when second best is slightly lousier than mouldy cardboard....

I have to agree with Pete too. Disney pizza leaves much to be desired. I had it once, at Pizza Planet, won't do it again.

Florida pizza doesn't leave much to be desired, frankly. I agree with Pete completely on this one.

I'm a big fan of pizza...I eat it alot here at home where I several great places to pick from. I just give up on it at WDW, their pizza is truly nasty and with so many other choices I just do without during a trip to WDW. I have high hopes for this new place, but won't be surprised if those hopes are dashed.

The thing with pizza is there are so many different styles, Chicago vs. New York, thick, thin, hand tossed, gourmet, but if this place can just manage edible, not at all reminiscent of cardboard, I'll be impressed.

I have never attempted the pizza at Disney (the chicken strips always grab me first!), but from what I have heard its more like the box the pizza should of come in than an actual pizza?

I just read the new pizzeria is planning on having wood-burning ovens and will use imported water. They say the imported water will be similar to the water in Naples, Italy - known for it's pizza dough. At least Disney is acknowledging the water and pizza dough issue... we'll see how it tastes.

They need to open a "Ray's Famous" from NYC!! Pizza is a sacred thing. Disney better get this one right! :cool1:
