hi i was wondering if any one has used a CANON EF-S 18-135MM 3.5-5.6 IS LENS or has one any feedback on it would be great thinking of buying it i have now a canon xsi how are the picture qualitiy off of the lens

it doesn't get very good reviews at www.photozone.de you can see pics taken with this lens at www.photography-on-the.net/forum in the lens archive section

I've never used one but I've heard good things about it. I considered it but went with the Tamron 18-270 VC, which has decent image quality for a superzoom and quite a nice range!

I have that lens for my T1i; and that's basically the one I use most of the time. The only other lens I have is the kit lens though. I don't have any real complaints about it. The zoom reach is great; and I think it has great picture quality. The only thing I really noticed, and that you'll probably see in reviews, is that there's some vignetting at certain parts of the zoom range.... more at the telephoto level. I read that certain aperture settings can get minimize it, but I haven't really experimented with that. It's actually not too bad, and can look pretty good in some pics.
