Is the water on the ship drinkable?

Can anyone tell me how the water tastes on the ship? I am referring to the water that is served in a glass or from a fountain. I am pretty fussy about the water I drink.

I assume bottled water is available. Do they charge for it and if so, how much?

I did not drink from the tap but other poster have indicated that it was not bad. There is a drinking station on deck 9 that have filtered water.

We brought on a six pack of bottle water and refilled the bottle when needed.

Yes they do sell bottle water.

The water taste fine to me. It is filtered and did not have an aftertaste.

We have lived in places that had good water, mediocre water and horrid water. The water in the DCL ships is very good. We did not feel there was any need to buy water. We took a litre bottle each and refilled it each night from the tap in our room, chilled it in the cooler in the room and took it for excursions. We thought it was fine.

I have to say that I did not care for the tap stuff!!

However, the water mentioned already (on deck 9) is good, filtered, & chilled. To buy a bottle of water was about the same as in the parks ($2.50 for a little one), so I brought some & refilled on deck 9 also.

We also brought a small pitcher to filter water in the stateroom (yes, I know, MORE STUFF!) that I picked up at Costco & I always kept that filled w/ the tap water. Worked great!!!

The water is VERY drinkable!! Much better than what we used to have when we lived in a city with a municiple well...ugh!!! The ship water has no unpleasant taste at all. We bring on bottled water and just refill the bottles with ship water as they are emptied. There are also water stations available on Castaway Cay.

We only drink bottle water at home, but the water on the ship was as good as bottled water. I didn't notice any difference. We drank a lot of water from the drink station and at dinner.
