View Full Version : Stupid question - do I have to print my GAD voucher now?

Or will the link still be active in August?

I am worried that I will lose the printed vouchers between now and my trip in August, but would feel mighty stupid if somehow they were no longer available to print at that point.

I got the e-mail with the link to print yesterday.

 I told you it was a stupid question . . .

You can print them and put them in your suit case....then you'll know right where they are and you won't forget to pack them later!!!:thumbsup2

Have you booked anything else yet? Airline tickets, etc? I'd put it with them.

I am also curious, do they need to be printed right away or can the "sit" in the Hands On site. I would think they could "sit" in the site until needed but do not know the answer. :confused3

I printed mine, but was very low on ink. When I went to my inlaws yesterday I was able to access and print them again. If I were you I would go ahead and redeem them.

When I went in to print my niece's, it came up as a PDF file. I printed it, but I also saved the file to my computer, so I can reprint it if I need to at any time. :thumbsup2

I did the same thing - saved the PDF to my computer so I'll have a backup.

I'd assume the link will stay active on the site, but personally I'd rather trust that I will have the file/printout in hand myself, than count on someone else's website to ensure I can access them months from now. ;)

What a great idea. I would not have thought of trying to save it once I had printed them. I will remember this when the time comes to print the vouchers. Thank you.

Since you've been through the process I was wondering when you have to decide if you want to keep the voucher or if you want to donate it to one of the non profits.

DH just got a new job and we don't know about vacation times or if a trip is in our budget this year or not. I already signed up for making blankets and we've finished two out of four so far. I was planning on donating the tickets if I can't use the vouchers. When do you have to decide? I was hoping I could leave the confirmation stuff on the web site for a month or so until we decide on a trip. Do I have to decide right away?

You probably could leave it there. When you go into print them it gives you an option to print or donate. My friend printed hers off but if you don't it will just let you do it later. the important thing is to be verified so you know you will have the choice.

I don't believe you have to decide right away. The way it's setup, the link to vouchers (with option to download/print or donate) will just sit there in your account. So you could just wait until you know for sure, and then go in and chose whichever option you want.

I understood that you can even change your mind if your circumstances change. You can go back to the manage my account and re-direct the vouchers to be donated.

I really suggest printing them and putting them in your suit case in addition to saving the PDF. Why chance that something might happen to your computer. My father's computer is just over a year old and the hard drive is fried. It was cheaper to buy a new one than get the old one repaired.

I think this was a great question, because I was nervous about printing mine this early.. Since our trip April is blacked out, we're heading back in July or September and haven't decided yet...I'm scared my link may disappear.

Thanks for the info...I'll print them and save them as well.

We're trading one in for Fastpass and one for a ticket :yay:
