Question re: reserving through Amex

I've read here that you can get some special benefits when reserving your cruise through American Express. ( soda mug, etc.)

If there is a Florida or Annual passholder special, can you still book through Amex and get their benefits?

If you go to the American Express website they list all the specials going on. The $250 credit is listed with the details but I don't know about annual passholders or other discounts.
