I am curious about what everyone will be wearing to the Princess in March. I hope I'm not the only one already planning my outfit...

hahaha I think I was planning my outfit before I even started training last summer! ;)
I wanted to do a themed or costume outfit because I love going all out on things like this, but at the same time I knew that running in anything other than running clothes would annoy me after the first mile or two. I do have a red and white polka dotted running skirt (http://runningskirts.blogspot.com/2008/09/what-great-family-running-event-our.html) (think Minnie Mouse), however since it's a Princess themed race, I'm going to wear my pink running skirt (http://skirtsports.com/products/SP08-gym-girl-ultra.cfm) with a white running tank and a small tiara on my head. I know everyone and their mother (hah, literally) will be dressed in pink, but it's like, when in Rome, you know? I picked Sleeping Beauty for the pink bib and pink is one of my favorite colors anyway. I'll probably wear my hair in braided pigtails which is my trademark hairstyle when I work out or otherwise don't feel like doing my hair. Maybe I'll tie some ribbons on the ends of my braids.
My fiance found a Cinderella blue men's running top and he's going to wear that with his running shorts for the race so he can fit in with us princesses!
Also, I think for either after the race or the day before it, I am making up these tshirts (click here (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=34650717#post34650717) to see) for myself and a few other people we know. I managed to make it pretty close to the actual logo given the limited clip art and fonts the tshirt site had available. If I do decide to order them (soon), if anyone is interested let me know.

oh no worries you're not the only one. if it makes you feel better i was debating between my two favorite running tops for my half this past october, and went with the one i did because it's not pink and i didn't want to be wearing the same top in both race photos :lmao:
it's all weather dependent but if it's shorts weather i will be wearing my favorite pink sugoi coolmax top with my favorite nike splits and a pink coolmax visor. if the weather looks like it will be unseasonable cool i might switch to my cw-x capris....but it will take a serious cold front for me to switch out of shorts. i warm up so fast when i run.
leeshiebean has the right idea about the costumes. it's such a fun theme and all and of course it's fun to dress up...but one of the golden rules of racing is nothing new on race day...clothing included! if you feel comfortable in a 10-mile or so training run in your costume then go for it...otherwise, just stick to the good stuff.

I've been planning my outfit since last March! I plan on wearing a green running skirt, purple top, and a visor with a tiara attached. princess: So far I have the running skirt... thanks to my friends on the princess thread for finding that for me!
I am going to wear an aqua top, and a pink skirt with a pink hat that has aqua writing on it. The top and hat are for my running team.

Same running skirt I wore last year..pinkish, raspberry color. I made a new shirt-last year I had Princess Aurora w/ a Mickey head on back. This year I have Princess Minnie with a Mickey swirly frame and Princess Joan on the back of my shirt. Same hair bow as last year, made from pink ribbon with print of green tieras and the word princess printed on it.
Hope over to the Disign Board, some one has made some cute graphics...I"ll go look and see if I can find them and post a link.
