Over the years, I have put very few pictures in albums and have always regretted it. I have wanted to do it, but time and cost constraints have left my pics in photo boxes.
Now, I have thousands of pictures that are never looked at because they are stored in boxes and I would like to start putting them in albums.
Can anyone recommend someplace that I can buy decent albums that will hold a larger quantitiy of pictures fairly well? It seems like the majority of the albums out there hold 200 pictures. I would need dozens of albums at that rate! My wife makes scrapbooks and uses scrapbook albums that are expandable to hold more and more pages. Does anyone use albums like that? How does everyone on here store your family pictures?

I got two nice mahogany leather photo albums at either Sam's Club or Price Club a year ago, I think it was. I believe it was Sam's club. I they are large and hold several times 200 photos each. The two were a set. I bought 2 sets. Haven't done anything with them yet, but they are nice. :rolleyes1

Years ago I used the pocket albums, but got frustrated because the albums were not photo safe. I now use photo safe albums, but I use the scrapbook albums. I do scrapbook, but my pages are pretty simple - very little paper, stickers, etc for decoration. A lot of my pages have just the pictures, and then I journal the who, what, when, where, etc. It works great for me, and it does not take me long to get pages done.

Do you just attach the pictures to a blank page and then slide the page into a page protector? I hadn't thought of that. DW scraps and I have thought of using 12x12 scrapbooks, but pages for the pictures are a problem.

I looked at Sam's Club's website for photo ablums because my membership actually expires tomorrow. They have photo albums with very good reviews but they don't sell them anymore.

Sorry to hear that. :( If you renew your membership, check in with them now and then. It isn't often, but sometimes they cycle stuff back.

Just that - I attach the pictures to a blank page, journal, slide a page protector on and move on to the next page. I like the Creative Memories albums best of all quality wise. I tried the albums with the "post" at the hinge, but they didn't lay flat - also not great quality wise.

I scrapbook and only use the Creative Memories albums. If you only put pictures on the page, you could get 6 pictures to one side of a page. There would be no space betweeen them though. And the albums will hold 30 pages plus a few more if you really need to squeeze them in. I think my biggest album is 34 pages and it's not a problem. If you figured 30 pages with 6 pictures to a side you could get 360 4x 6 prints in one book. All their stuff is photo safe and archieval. If you go to their web site, you can put in your zip code and it will list consultants in your area. Hope that helps.

I just ordered an album from Adorama. It's a Light Impressions True Guard Album 2 1/2 inch D Ring. The archival pages were $9.99/25 page pkg. The album should hold 85 pages with photos, so about 500 photos.
Light Impressions also sells a slipcase for the album.

Walgreens carries the best photo album I've found and I'm really picky. They measure 15X14, have slip-in pockets and hold 500 4X6 photos. You can also add a few more pages, but it tends to get too thick. The cost is around $13.00.
The problem is not every Walgreens has them. Around here there is one on every corner, so I can usually find them.:thumbsup2

i think you can make a photo video with those photos, and if u like, you can burn the video to DVD. There are many video maker software in the website. Try Photo MovieTheater i am using. i think it is a nice one.
