Cheyenne and question about pin trading

We're planning to go to DLP in May (just waiting for the "double up" Airmiles from converting Tesco Clubcard deals to go through so we can book). Planning on staying at Cheyenne so hope this is a good first hotel to stay in. Should we wait to see if they bring out some good deals in Feb that Airmiles also offer so we could get a different hotel - may get something more expensive for the same Airmiles??

I've seen a few things about Pin Trading and have seen some pins in our Disney Store. As DLP virgins, do many people do this? Was thinking about getting a lanyard and a couple of pins for DD (6½) and wasn't sure about DS (2½).

Are the starter sets you can get worth it? There's lots of pins on ebay which I may bid on and DD has seen you get can a Hannah Montana lanyard - would this be "acceptable" to use as it's on ebay?! Wasn't sure if there's any pin trading etiquette/rules!

I'm sure you can use any lanyard. If you are mainly looking at pins on ebay you might be rather shocked by the price of them in DLRP.....veeeeery expensive. I believe for those on ebay you just need to make sure they are official Disney pins otherwise you can't trade them. There is a big pin trading thread on here if you do a search - sorry would do it myself but am just going out!
