ABC, among others, will air special coverage of the 9/11 tragedy on the one year anniversary. The networks are being fairly dignified about the whole thing, and so far aren't making a big fuss about the retrospectives. ABC will begin its coverage at 7 a.m. with a special edition of its "Good Morning America." Special broadcasts will continue throughout the day, with breaks for local news.
The programming will include ABC news anchor Peter Jennings moderating "Answering Children's Questions," a follow-up to a special he hosted four days after the attacks.
In prime time, ABC is planning a minute-by-minute look back at Sept. 11, including a documentary reconstruction of the attacks and the government's reaction to them.
It's one way to remember what man's inhumanity can do to his fellow man.
