I am going on my first cruise (Disney Cruise) in a couple months and want to make sure I don't miss any great photo opportunities. I am going on a 3 day Wonder in April and a 7 day Magic in October :)

What are your favorite places to take pictures:
1. On board
2. On Shore
3. Family pictures in front of "___________"

TIA

Family pictures are good in front of the smoke stacks or the Ariel Statue. Also pictures with your waiters is a good way to remember them by. On Castaway Cay you can take pictures in front of the bouys with the character faces on them and if you can take pictures underwater, there is a nice statue of mickey in the snorkeling lagoon. Also, keep in mind that taking pictures with the characters on the cruise is much easier than taking them at the parks (they are more readily available).

Awesome!!!! You're gonna have a GREAT time!!! What are your destinations????

I've been on 2 Disney Cruises so far, and my camera has gotten quite the workout. One unique thing to do, if you get a chance, is the adult's only "Art of the Theme Ship Tour". You'll find out a lot of little secrets about the ship; so that'll give you some photo ideas.

I have some pics here from my cruises:

We are also going for our first cruise at the end of Feb! This was one of the biggest reasons for us to get the DSLR. We are hoping to get some good pics of the Flying Dutchman!

Sunrises and sunsets,

They just keep getting better and better.
My DW and I will be taking our 6th Disney cruise in April and having already taken more than 6500 DIsney cruise photos I can't wait to return to the Wonder and add to my collection.

In Key West, you definitely have to go to the Southernmost Point. It's a complete "tourist" shot, but you've gotta do it. You'll also see the Southernmost House and things of that nature.

In Cozumel, there are a lot of cruise ships in the area. So don't forget to take advantage of those ops. And the mall plaza (right near the Disney ship) has a few interesting sights...... human statues, native dancers, a meet and greet area with exotic animals (snakes, monkeys, iguanas, etc....). Those seem cliche, but hopefully you can try something interesting shot-wise.
