Had a really good trip.
Weather was kind to us, only one morning of sleet.
Hotel New York is a fabulous hotel and we had a terrific view over the ice skating rink.
Crowds were non existant. DS got his highest ever score on Buzz - he's now level 5. My niece filled her autograph book and we got stacks of photos. All rides were walk on, we did use FP's for Big Thunder Mountain, but the FP machines at Peter Pan and Buzz weren't even uncovered.
Stars n Cars is really fun, we stood around by Cinemagique, so didn't really see what was going on on stage, but it didn't matter because there were so many characters messing around by us, signing aurographs etc.
1 or 2 additional closures to the printed list, neither Keel boats or River boats were running, that could have been due to the thin layer of ice on some parts of the lake. Nautilus closed both times we checked, the front of the castle was boarded off and the Christmas shop was closed.
Got 2 new Maleficent pins including the limited edition Christmas Villains Event, I'd almost given up finding it but spotted it in a case in the Tower of Terror shop. It's beautiful, huge and cost me 26 euros after my shareholders discount, but well worth it.
.
Cafe Mickey, Annette's and Chicago Steakhouse :thumbsup2
Blue Lagoon - awful, used to be one of my favourites, but would find it hard to recommend it, especially to anyone with children the kid's menu is dire :sad2:
Buffalo Bill - we used our HB plus vouchers and an extra 120 euros for the
2nd category seating but when we got there we had been upgraded to first category. We really enjoyed the new show with the characters present.
Lots and lots of sales on in the shops, especially on clothing.
All in all it was an excellent trip, naturally it was a little cold, but not unbearable, we were all quite comfortable with thermals, Tshirts and coats.
After 3 previous very very busy weekend trips, it made a fantastic change for us to see the park so quiet, I loved it. :lovestruc

I've been in January a couple of times and love it. The park is always empty! Last time we went in January they were letting people stay on POTC and IASW for a second ride!

No problem staying on at all, we did on POTC, IASW, Snow White, Pinocchio and Cars. Crush had no queue, ToT was showing 10 mins wait time - I think they were letting people stay on on Phantom Manor too as the one time we were on there was already a couple in one of the doom buggies when it came through to the boarding area.

We didn't do it Emma, apparently she didn't want to and then yesterday we were outside Auberge and she saw the advertising board and she said to me that she really would like to do it :confused3 but it was too late then we only had an hour or so left.
She was made over because she got Ariel and Prince Eric's autographs and because the Prince spoke so nicely to her so I know she would've loved the meal, maybe next time.

I don't know why she didn't want to Emma, you'd proabbaly have more idea than me being mum to a girl, I really don't understand them, boys are so much easier. ;)

I would love to go again during Halloween season, but it's far too expensive at the moment, so will be waiting and watching for any offers.

It's an amazing hotel and I would love to return there, although NPB is still my favourite in design, the service was on par with what we had received on the Admiral's Floor at NPB.

There's some pics over on dlp magic, ut seems to be the drawerbridge that's being renovated. There are some pics on Diseny central plaza, seems like the snow and ice did some damage to it. Rehab is scheduled to end of March.
welcome back jill!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a shame about the meal, maybe next time :confused3
I was a bit worried about how cold it would be after poppyolivia's experience, but we were fine and the quietness of the park more than compensated for the cold. The weather is definately something you take a chance with though.
