I guess y'all won't know if the special drink menus have changed.

 I'm not much into drinking except for select locations/occasions.

Fine. Be that way.

We're having two dozen onion bagels and one dozen assorted Fed Ex'd overnight to Sarasota from DELISH...

(If they'll agree to it....) :thumbsup2

I just happen to know that the drink menus HAVE changed.

I dont drink but I did love the Strawberry Basil Lemonade w/Vodka at the Ohana bar.

They no longer have it as the menu has changed.

I might have missed chat....but I went and saw the Princess and the Frog and had dinner at the Polynesian.

I win.

Kevin,

It was nice to run into you. Your dinner looked better than what we got at Ohana. We hadn't been in several years. Now I remember why. Definitely have better better uses for $80. We totally would have joined you, but a three year old just doesn't belong at the sushi bar unless they roll hot dogs in seaweed that tastes like ketchup and serve tempura potatoes aka french fries.

Omg lol listen FRANCES!!

;) I don't mind "Frances"---- if one uses on a check, prize pick, winning a trip to anywhere fun, gifts...

Most people call me by my nickname (not typing it here), or in some cases, NC Belle/Belle if they want my attention faster.

I'm not sure that my nieces know my formal name. :rotfl:

Thanks Kevin for the answer. In chat, there was some names discussion going on and I had fun with Nikki.

We meant to go see Princess last month with a niece, but we had to change some plans.

NC Beast is making Chicken Marsala this weekend. :cool1:

What type of Sushi did you end up ordering? Last month I went there two times and the 1st time I had the Shrimp Tempura Roll, then the 2nd time I had the Volcano Roll and both tasted great.

Kevin and John, I just want to thank the two of you for always talking about this place. Just about two weeks ago when I was down, I was supposed to have a dinner at Cali Grill, only I made the reservation for the wrong day. When asked "what do we do now?", I had the perfect answer, and we had a great meal!

I'm really glad to hear this.

Besides offering great food....there is never a wait, which makes it a great place for a spontaneous dinner.

Love the fact that you dont need an ADR.

Something to keep in mind is that they offer the full Kona Cafe menu at the Kona Sushi Bar. This is terrific if there are non-sushi eaters in your party.

Yes they do. I did try the sushi at the Kona Bar it was good. I noticed two ladies next to me ordered what was on the Kona Cafe Menu. I regret not ordering the delicious pot stickers. Only problem they ordered two very large meals and there was barely enough room on the bar.

That's okay. I will be there on Sunday. Yippee.:cool1::cool1:

Oh yes... or if you like to have some sushi as an appetizer before your meal from Kona Cafe ;)

We always mix the two menus. Usually a couple rolls with an order of the Kona wings and the 3 of us share. Yummo.

That is what I love about the podcast. We would have never tried this place if you didnt review it Kevin.
