"So close and yet so far..." Cat 8

So the GTY in cat 8 turned out to be room 7014. right near the forward part of the ship and right below the 2 br suites. Oh and it's also right at the elevators on deck 7. I'm ok with no verandah, but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this section (or room).

I took the advice of many and looked at what was up and down and all seems ok, but still the elevators are right there...

kind of a mixed blessing... any thoughts?

Billylen, we are on your cruise right down the hall from you in 7063. I have read on here that being by the elevators is not such a bad thing as far as noise is concerned. We are in the middle so I don't think we are going to have a problem. I'm looking forward to spending time on the verandah at the end of deck 7.
