Poly Concierge upgrade (by paying) at the last minute?

I want to upgrade to conceirge at the Poly(by paying of course) can I do this when checking in? I leave in 20 days. I did call CRO and the CM said some people do get lucky at the last minute, they only had a few lagoon view left , I really wanted garden view because of the price. My Grandmother who is in her late 80's is gong with us, and she just got out of the hospital, I figured conceirge would be better for her since during the day she will probably be at the Poly with my mom, then we will take her out in the evenings. Has anyone had luck getting conceirge at the last minute?

I am going in two weeks and would like to know the answer to this question as well. We would like to at least upgrade our view, anyone know how much extra?

I would try to get this taken care of in advance. When you check-in they most likely will charge you full price or rack rate. Explain the dilema and see if the CM at CRO will be able to help you and as always if you don't like the answer call back again. It is a rare occurance that folks get upgraded for free but when ever it does happen people post creating the illusion that it happens frequently. I know you are not expecting the free upgrade but I thought you had a discounted rate. The difference in GV versus LV is perhaps $30 per night. I think it would be better for you to have a sure thing and then see if you could down grade at check-in.

Try calling before you go. The concierge level there stays pretty full, especially on the weekends.:D

We tried to upgrade at check in from Concierge garden view to lagoon view and it was sold out for the whole time.:eek:
I would try ahead of time....you will get a better price anyway.
