So we'll be at the fort during 2 scheduled launches, 1 shuttle and another rocket launch feb 7th and 9th. The 7th time for take off is 4:39 AM. I won't have a car with us, only a golf cart. Any suggestions on where I could go/get to at that hour to view it?? Obviously the boats won't be running, or I'd go to the Contemporary. I figure if it goes as scheduled, the early AM launch would be very neat to see in the dark. The 9th time is in the daytime, so I'm not so concerned about seeing that one. Can't wait to get there!!!

We watched the November shuttle launch from the FW beach/dock. It was a clear day and we had a pretty decent view once it cleared the trees. There were other folks staked out in some of the more open areas of the campground too.

We have watched it both from the Contemporary and at the FW main pool. I actually think it was better from the pool.
