One question regarding possible FREE dining

I realize that free dining is not established yet this year. However, in August 2009, can anyone tell me what the offer was? If you booked a value hotel, was it the quick meal plan that was free? What about a moderate hotel? Was it the regular plan that was free? I know that the October offer worked this way, but what about the summer offer?

When free dining came out last year it was for the reg dining plan for all. Then they extended it into Oct, Nov & Dec, it was QSDP for Values & reg for Mod & Deluxe. HTH

Given that info, then, does anyone know what the UK offer is starting August 15? Are they being offered the regular dining plan for free no matter what hotel level they stay in?

Everyone refers to last year's free dining promotion as "extended" but technically the summer offer was not extended. A second offer was released for check-ins September 27 to December 17. That was the offer which included the quick service dining plan for value resorts.

Not sure exactly what the UK offer is but it starts sometime in July, not August 15, and is running I believe until some date in November. Those booking the UK offer cannot get free dining at all at the values. The QS plan is free at moderate resorts and the basic plan is free at deluxe resorts. The British offer should not be seen as anticipating the terms of the US offer, because historically the two are very different and always have been. That said, it's never easy to predict what Disney will do from year to year. I'm one of those who cautions not to expect a September - December offer in 2010 since Disney's CEO has announced that Disney will be cutting back on offering discounts this year. I think the August-September offer will happen.

Someone posted about getting a Free Dining PIN code for stays Aug.15-Oct. 2 2010. The counter service meal plan was offered for the value resorts and the regular plan for moderate and deluxe resorts.

I booked the bounceback and was assured that I get the regular DDP. I hope this is true.
