They are about 1/2 way done

I didn't really specify the quality of the Mahogany so I was a little worried about the quality. I shouldn't have worried. It is absolutely gorgeous, clear and knot free.

I guess they do it a little different different down here then in Canada. To answer your question from yesterday Snowwark, it is face nailed with 8 penny stainless steel ring shank nails.

The deck is coming along great Alex, and it's so big!! Thanks for answering my question, but I have another one. What are you going to be treating it with when it's finished? :)

We have been talking about that... the builder suggested linseed oil but I think I am going to use something a little better... the wood is so beautiful.. thinking about something called Sikkens Cetol Dek.. very expensive but I have heard really good things...

I would be open to suggestions though! :)

The Cetol is a perfect choice, highly recommended!! :)

Linseed oil tends to get sticky and gooey........ so I've been told!

It's absolutely beautiful, I don't think I would ever go in the house again. I would live right on the deck.

I don't think I've ever seen a Mahogony deck, Alex. It's simply gorgeous! :D
