We'll be staying at AKL in March for 3 days - 2 nights on the Basic Dinning Plan which means we get 2 TS and 2 QS per person. I'm wondering how best to use my TS vs my QS?

We'll be driving up from Fort Lauderdale on Day 1 so we'll have breakfast before we leave and then we're planning on eating at T-Rex for dinner on Day 3 just before heading back home.

So basicaly, I'm looking for ideas for dinner on Day 1 and 2 and breakfast on Day 2 and 3.

I'm currently leaning on having both breakfast at Mara using my 2 QS and leaving my 2 TS for dinners which I plan on using one at Boma.

My second option is to do one breakfast at Boma (TS) and one breakfast at Mara (QS) which leaves me with a QS dinner and TS dinner. I just don't know that I want to have dinner at QS.

I know that I want to do Boma. Should I do Boma for breakfast or dinner?

Your thoughts?

I've heard Boma has one of the best breakfasts on property... I haven't made it there, though. I did enjoy the Boma dinner, though. :thumbsup2 Don't think you could go wrong either way, there...

If it were me and I only had 2 TS credits I would use them for 2 dinners.
Breakfasts are much cheaper and mostly the same things.

Another think I would do is look at ALL the restaurant menus and see what I would like to have. That would make the most of it for me, going where I really wanted to try things.

I agree with Nadjalu. Using your TS points for dinner (of even lunch) is a much better value. If I was limited on TS points I would not use them for breakfast.

If you are looking to maximize the value of your TS dining credits, use them for dinners, not breakfasts. It's also suggested (if your main interest is maximizing value) that you not use them for buffets as they are not the best deal for adults - your party will have three adults if it's the family in your signature - but Boma is a buffet and is also the only non-signature option at AKL itself. Try choosing a second TS dinner that is not a buffet, though.

Boma has some very nice unique options for dinner, as well as some more familiar items. It has something for everyone! I think you should go there for dinner.

TS credits have more value when used on dinners, but it really depends on your personal preference and dining style. What about going to a dinner at a park? If you are going to Epcot, maybe try one of the countries. We ate at Biergarten (Germany) last time and we loved it. It was a buffet though. I have heard wonderful things about Les Chefs de France so we booked it for a dinner, and we decided to give Le Cellier (Canada) a try although Le Cellier is hard to get into. It is a great value on the DDP if you like steaks. Lots of people also rave about Tutto Italia (Italy) and it is a good value on the DDP for dinner as well. Personally, we haven't eaten at Tutto Italia because of how picky we are about Italian food (Italians from NYC!) and a friend of mine was disappointed because she was expecting what we are used to here for Italian food. However, it does get plenty of wonderful reviews and it may be perfect for you.

People have also said great things about The Wave at Contemporary, Captain's Grille at Yacht Club and Kona Cafe at Polynesian, all for dinner would be a good value on the DDP. We are trying Captain's Grille and Kona Cafe on our next trip, both for dinner. Those are all at resorts do you don't need a theme park ticket.
