So this is our first time using the DDP with kids. We will have 2 adult and 2 kids on the plan. My question is that when we use a CS credit, at the bottom of the receipt, will it break down between the child and adult credits?

I'm concerned that what happens if we get 4 meals from a place that doesn't distinguish between child and adults (Caseys or MK Bakery). Will they take all 4 from the adults? I don't want to get to the end of the trip and we all have to eat kids meals since the adult ones were previously used. Hope this makes sense.................

TIA!
Melanie

I do not know from experience however I'm sure that whoever is ringing up your food or taking your order will mark each meal as either or adult or child and the remaining credit balance will be on your receipt :)

I hope someone is able to back that up or give you the right answer :)

No, they don't. You'll need to find a way to keep track of the credits yourself.

At a restaurant with no child's menu, they'll just take 4 credits. They won't care whether they're adult or child credits.

Wow that sucks. Oh well, I guess if you have your kids with you when you eat then it won't matter who gets what credit, right?

:confused3 I'm confused. If I have 2 adults, 2 kids, and I am staying for 7 nights, I will get 28 adult CS meals and 28 kids meals, right?

So if I eat at a place that doesn't have a kids menu, and I order 4 meals, wouldn't I have to tell the CM to remove 2 adults meals, and 2 kids meals? Otherwise, when I get to the end of the week, I might not have enough adult meals and 2 more kids meals than I would expect??? :confused3

No, Disney is aware that some places don't have children's selections and therefore, guests don't have to worry about ending up with more children's credits than adults.

At this point, they don't separate them on the receipt so you have to keep track, but as long as you are using them appropriately (ie: buying from the kids menu when there is one), you won't have any issues.

There is a credits tracker in the free download section on touringplans.com. It's analog so you'll need a pen. ;)

Nope I think it would make it a lot easier if they track card by card... When we would eat we would hand them anyones card and once paid it would show us the total for our room... This year I think it'll get a lil tricky with us Payin OOP for some meals... But 1 thing that happens every year we always have a ton on snack credits left over... Always use them in the gift shop to bring home goodies to friends!!!!

Is there any way to find out how many credits you have left, some kind of kiosk or something? Or is it totally up to YOU to keep track?

We have been on the dining plan every year for the past 5 years. Each time you use your plan for a table service, the server will bring a reciept with the remaining balance of meals left. when appropriate, a "child" meal is used- but, reciept will only tell you the total of meals left (no distinction). Each time a counter meal is brought with the plan, you will recieve another reciept with the remaining balance of counter meals left, (again, no distinction between "child" and "adult"). this will also be the case with snacks. You will want to look at ALL these reciepts to keep count. there are mistakes made- and, if so, the concierge graciously has fixed the problems. Disney really makes the plan easy to use. so instead of constant keeping track, enjoy your vacation and some really great food.:woohoo:

The balance of your meals show at the bottom of each receipt. :)
TS show at XXX amount for children and XXX amount for adult TS.
CS show XXX amount left for your party (does not show adult or kids, just he balance of your CS credits)

You can go to the register of almost any food location and they can swip your card and tell you what you have left. We did this a few times to help us decide what to order.
