Skeptical parents FINALLY understand DVC appeal! Plus Referral question

My parents had a conference in a DD hotel, and I suggested they stay on my points at OKW instead of the host hotel. They had given me a REALLY hard time about buying a "timeshare"; everyone know's how sleazy they are, everyone knows you'll be ripped off, etc.

So I thought having them stay at OKW they could see how nice things really are. After they checked in, they called me to have me explain again how DVC works; two days later they had bought in at BCV! They definitely gave my name to their guide, and so I should get the referral bonus.

I was just wondering that that bonus was?

The bonus for your first referral to close within a calendar year is $200. You can take the $200 as Disney Dollars, as credit towards your next annual DVC maintenance fees, as credit towards a DVC add-on, or you can donate it to charity (but you don't get to take the tax deduction).

You should get a thank-you letter soon from your Sales Guides. And then once your parents close on their membership, you will receive your referral bonus.

Massachusetts residents do get the referral bonus (unless you work for Disney).
