Just booked BW water view for early Nov. at $243 per night incl. tax. My question is .... are there waterview rooms that allow a view of Epcot and Illuminations? Everything I am reading seems to tell me that the garden view rooms have views of Epcot. I've never stayed here... any help is appreciated.

Good question! I've heard of standard/garden views with a view of Epcot, but haven't heard anything about a water view room. Water view rooms would have a view of the quiet pool or the Boardwalk, so I'm not sure.

Water view rooms could have a view of the boardwalk, the canal that runs to MGM, or either of the pools.
Generally speaking water view rooms will not have a view of the Epcot fireworks. You might be able to see the MGM fireworks on the rare times that they do them.

We've had Boardwalk views on 3 separate trips. We could see Epcot fireworks every time. You won't see the stuff down close to the water, just the higher ones, but it's great! The higher the floor, the better the view. From certain rooms you can see both Epcot and MK fireworks in different directions. We darn near had twisted necks that year from looking back and forth, LOL.
Water view might not necessarily be Boardwalk view, though. As the previous poster said, water view could be the pool or the canal.

Boardwalk Inn or Boardwalk Villas? The Inn would be pool or lake. The Villas could be lake, pool or canal.
We stayed in a standard view at Boardwalk Villas last December and faced the bus stop but could see the high fireworks from Illuminations plus hear the music (3rd floor).

Water view is going to be facing away from EPCOT. I had one of the least expensive rooms at BW, but we were on the tp floor, facing EPCOT. Very good bview of the aerial fireworks. Anything lower than top floor would be blocked.

You don't say whether it is BWI or BWV. BWI water view is unlikely, but possible for some rooms, to give you Epcot view as it is either a view over the boardwalk (which faces more toward MGM on that side of the resort and you really cannot see Illuminations), the BWI quiet pool ( and only limited number of rooms there, higher floor, one side, can see Epcot), or the canal going to Epcot from which you can see Epcot but it is not that many rooms. Many garden view rooms face Epcot wholly or partly but then many do not.
BWV side, only water view rooms that face Epcot are those overlooking the boardwalk and that makes up only about 15% of the resort.
