When is the best time to book flight for a May 2003 trip?

I haven't booked a flight in a gazillion years. We are driving down w/ the kids in January - but in May it will just be my hubby & I for a 4 night trip, so we want to fly. I looked up flight costs on Orbitz & I can easily get our tickets for about $190 each. Is this a good deal? When should the bargain fairs come out for May?

I would grab whatever fare seems good to you. $190 for May 2003 is a good rate.

If for some reason the rates go lower then that you can just call and get vouchers from the airline.

I would check the individual airline sites besides orbitz. I believe that orbitz charges a small fee for their tickets even though they are owned by the airlines listed there.
