Hoping and Praying for Free Dining...

I so want to go back to WDW but the only way we can do it is to go if they do Free dining, I have a count down on my calendar in hopes that they will offer it again.

Anyone know anything... I know we have to wait till April to see if it is offered...:hourglass Only time will tell.. :)

Here are two easy ways to find out when Free Dining is offered:

Free Dining Alert: Here's a list you can join that only sends out Free Dining promotion related information: http://www.*********************.com/freedining.php You'll probably get 2 or 3 email messages per year.

You can also join the newsletter mailing list at www.mousesavers.com - they send out one to two notices per month about various Disney related things. They'll send a "Hot Deal Deal Announcement" when free dining is released.

This board usually has a thread you can subscribe to concerning free dining. It can be fun but beginning march you do tend to get a lot of "anyone heard anything yet?" posts.

In general, is free dining only offered in the "slower" seasons? My wife and I are teachers, and of course both of our girls are in school, so June or July are just about the only possible times we can visit WDW. Does anyone know if free dining has ever been offered for summer guests? Is free dining always the regular DDP, or are there QSDP, deluxe DDP offers also? :confused3

Free Dining is usually offered the last two weeks of August through September. It has been the DDP for all the resorts.

Last year Disney offered Free Dining for October-December with a week black out period. The value resort guests received the QSDP and the moderate and deluxe resorts received the DDP. Some people got PIN codes and were given the DDP at any resort.

Guests have been allowed to upgrade to the higher Dining Plans and just pay the price difference per night.

Everyone is waiting to see what happens this year!
