Ok so I am relatively new at this, but I must have lost track of time and just completely burned our dinner while reading posts here while it was cooking. My spaghetti completely soaked up all the water in the pot and has stuck/burned to the bottom of the pan. :scared1:Looks like we'll be having ham sandwiches tonight, so much for ignoring the timer thinking it was only a minute or two more.....

:rotfl2: Yes, a "DIS" minute or two easily equates to 30 minutes or even more of "real world" time, especially if the "real world" has housework pending. I keep proving this to myself over and over again. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes, I am pretty sure the is a lot of house cleaning I could be doing right now. I just let everyone get their own dinner tonight.:lmao:

I did the same thing last week, except it was with butternut squash! Oops. :rotfl2:

I keep telling myself I need to start limiting the amount of time I spend hanging out here. I am a nursing student and go back to school next week so that will help (when I go back to the books)! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh. That is so hilarious. :lmao: It is just a good thing you didn't burn your house down.

Sometimes it is sooooo hard to close the tab that the dis boards are on.

Embarrassed to admit but I have done the same thing myself more than once. Just last week my garlic bread was black due to the old "I'll be back in 2 minutes" promise. Hey - at least you are in good company!

As my licence plate cover states: "Been there, done that..." And it will happen again.

I can relate to staying on the boards too long. It's so much more fun than housework, paying bills, etc. It's easy to lose track of time!

Thanks for all the fun stories everyone! If only we could all have the DDP while at home too.

What happens to me is I start to look at all the food porn on the dis restaurant forum, and I no longer want to eat whatever I am cooking for dinner. Instead, I want to go to Jiko!:lovestruc:lovestruc

I think the only thing more common for me is adding more days, ADRs, or upgrading views again.:rotfl:
