Sounds like my step-father. They had a party line on the telephone. And he got a lower rate with the electric company by having them lower the power at certain times or turning it off to some appliances or some dumb thing. All I know is that my mother couldn't do laundry in the evening because of it, so she had to do all the laundry on the weekends. :rolleyes:
