Newbie meet sign up-Veterans needed as mentors-Official AND Unofficial attendees!

Taryn, Fantasia Sam, forgive me, but while I had the time, I thought that I would dive in. If anyone has a suggestion of a better way to do this, PLEASE tell us!

What:

Groups of 3-4 Newbies to DIS CON will be paired up with a DIS CON veteran (this helps the Newbies break into the click of vets!). The groups will correspond over the fall and meet at one of three pre DIS CON mini meets (or more if you want). The reason I am asking for number of meets that you have been to (at WDW or elsewhere), is to get veteran DIS meeters (December99 for example) in with folks that have never been to a meet. I also want to match up people that are staying at the same place!

UPDATE: Unofficial and official members welcome as well

Meet dates (times later when we have a schedule):

Dec 2 (Taryn hosts) Probably late
Dec 3 (Fantasia Sam hosts) Probably mid day (after 3)
Dec 4 (OkieDisney - Karen hosts) Probably morning or midday

Just wanted to point out that my plan is to arrive on the 2nd and I would not likely land until at least 2pm and will still need to check in. If I can take the 2nd at all it would have be be late. I'll confirm with you as soon as I book a flight but I am waiting for a better price, they are really bad from Canada right now. If someone can host an early meet on the 2nd grab them. I would be happy to mentor or host any time after my arrival!

As you can tell, I just love DISmeets (much to the dismay of my family, especially my 14yo DS James). I'd love to meet all the newbies and the oldbies too.

I'm hoping that there will be a DATW #4 event and a night out at the Adventurers Club on Pleasure Island during DIScon 2002. I'm also looking forward to MVMCP on December 8th. I know that there is another large group planning to attend MVMCP on December 3rd. And maybe I'll even get up the nerve to do a little karaoke this time.

I'm not a DISCON veteren, but I'm not a shy person by any means and would love to participate and make others feel comfortable.

I'll be hosting a mini-meet at MVMCP on 12/3 and if any newbies would like to join in, please feel free to PM me. We'll be having dinner at Chef Mickey's before the party (around 5:00 pm). If you would like to join us for that, great !!! The more the merrier.

I'll be arriving into MCO on 12/3 at noon, but probably won't get to my hotel until around 2:00 pm or so. But if anyone would like to pop over for a beer to break the ice a little, by all means call me!!!
