1 - 2 months is typical. I have found both the Timeshare Store and Timeshare Closing Services to be very efficient. A good part of the delay is in getting both the buyer and seller to get the signed documents back and forth to the respective agents in an expedient manner.

Time from Deposit to closing was 6-7 weeks. We were in Disney's computers about a week after closing.

We just signed a contract for OKW on June 28. We received the closing papers yesterday (July 24). Once we get our signed papers and check to them and the sellers paper work is in, I was told it would take about 1 week to get into Disney's system. Then I can "try" and get a ressie for our planned trip in December. I was also told it could take an additional 4 weeks for Disney to send out the membership package -- Can anyone let me know what is included in that.
We haven't even closed and we already think buying into DVC is the greatest thing we have ever done!!!!

My contracts were signed and sent with deposit yesterday and received by FEDEX today (July 25) -- I was hoping to get done soon enough to make a res for October and cancel my POR res -- where I stay doesn't matter to me but I do want a studio since it's just me and the hubby. I don't expect things to get done in a couple of weeks but I just hope it doesn't take more than 6 weeks so it still gives me about 5 weeks prior to checkin date to try to reserve something.
