I bought my passes from Undercover Tourist this year instead of from Disney. I got the the other day and was surprised to find that they are paper. I was wondering if they will be able to put them onto my room key when I get there? The passes from Disney are always plastic. I would hate for one of the paper tickets to rip.

Yes. Once you check in, take your Key to the World cards and tickets to the concierge desk and they will transfer them for you. FYI, our annual passes are paper and have withstood the test of time.

Maybe it comes from years of having the "paper" AP which is really durable (waterparks and laundry survival), but I like my KTTW to be separate.

That "paper" is really, really tough. Disney prints annual passes on the same stuff. We've never had a problem with our APs ripping or wearing out. I've tried to rip up old used up passes (just to see) and it is pretty much impossible.

I've even washed them and they look just the same.

On our last trip, we had three park hoppers. My wife and I had no problems with ours, but our teen-aged son ruined his FIVE different times and had to have it replaced. By the end of our trip, the ticket person at the International Gateway knew him by sight.:lmao:

Thank everyone for all your advise! It sounds like those tickets will stand up to almost anything. I too have teenage boys so I think I will have them transferred to the KTTW, just in case.:thumbsup2

I was traveling with friends who had problems almost every day with the tickets on their KTTW card, while we had no problems with our Tyvek/Mylar APs. I've only had to have one replaced once over the years.

For the convenience of not having to carry multiple objects, that is a good choice.

Can I tag a question onto this? :rolleyes1

We are staying at BLT (would have to transfer paper onto our KTTW) for a few nights, doing a cruise, and then coming back to use the last days (since it is still within 14 days). Would they still be valid since we will have checked out of the hotel?

Yes, as long as you are still in the 14 day period since you first used the ticket. The room key won't work; if you had the dining plan, you won't have any credits left; but you will have your tickets for park entry.
