My friend found a decent rate on travelocity for a room and tickets for Disney, but she is also interested in doing the dining plan, and she said there is no option she can find there for it. I looked as well and couldn't either. I never even thought about this boefre, but can you then call disney and add the plan to that reservation? Is there anyway to do this? if not, I think she should still book it on travelocity becuase the deal she found seemed to be much better than what I have seen on the disney site.

No, I don't believe you can do that through Travelocity. You can try through Disney or use a Disney recognized travel agent - like Mouse Fan Travel - http://www.mousefantravel.com/mft/index.php

Keep in mind that when adding the dining plan, the reservation becomes a "Package" and it must be paid in full 45 days prior to your trip. So it will depend when you are visiting the World.

No, you can't. Travelocity and other third-party brokers deal specifically with room-only reservations and there is no way to add a dining plan to a room-only reservation. You might be able to buy park tickets through third party brokers too, but when you have, you've bought the reservation and the tickets separately - not as a Disney package. You have to book a package reservation through Disney or have a travel agent book through Disney to be eligible for a dining plan as they are sold only as package reservation add-ons.

If you book through Travelocity, you can't do anything to your reservation by calling Disney. Travelocity is considered the owner of the reservation and you'd have to make any changes through them.

You can only get the dining plan from Disney. I just booked my clients trip who also was comparing to Travelocity and I saved them 800 vs Travelocity.

I actually asked this 2 years ago. Since then I have become a travel agent myself.
