"Ultimate Park Hopper Pass" discount question

My daughter & friends will be using our points to stay at DVC. Member Services just told me she is not entitled to the member discount on Ultimate Park hopper passes - because her name is not on the contract... Has anyone had experience buying passes w/o the actual member present? It just seems absurd.

Officially they apear correct as the guidelines state that the discount is not available to "guests staying [at the resort] when the DVC Member is not staying in the vacation home with the guests." However, it would seem that an immediate family member should qualify. It is possible they will allow it when she checks in.
