You can squeak all you want, but here are the reasons that we dont have a sticky at the top of the page as to when we record the podcasts.

- Stickies generally turn into "chit chat" threads. PLEASE dont misunderstand what I'm saying. There is NOTHING wrong with "chit chat" threads, but they are difficult to wade through if you are looking for actual information. Also....after a short time, they will lose their effectiveness, because they have been there for a length of time and people will still make a new post when a new show goes up.

- It's far more effective to post a new thread when the podcast goes up. It usually spends some time at the top of the list. People can see it. There is one every week and it disappears after a day or two.

- No one wants to responsible for being the one to be in charge of maintaining a "podcast announcement" sticky. Our wonderful listeners seem to enjoy announcing the new podcast and this way....we dont have another thing to remember.

- There is really no need to formally announce a new podcast. They go up when they go up. Life intrudes. Things take longer than expected. People get sick. Cars breakdown. Appointments get in the way. Have the podcast download automatically and you dont even need to check the boards.

So...there you have it.

Squeak away, but those would be my responses.

I really don't know how these things work, so please don't take offence to this question, but can Sticky's be locked and only accessible by Pod squad (members, not one responsible) who want to post? The only reason I'm harping on this Sticky thing is that when you click on the board, it's easy to find at the top of the page. While at work, it's a time thing, (not enough of it) to search for and read Post on the subject which MAY, OR MAY NOT be there. This is the last post on this subject.

I understand what you're saying and I would give all of the same responses I've given previously.

I also mean no offense when I ask....if your time is short enough that it's difficult to scroll through the first couple of posts.....should you be on the boards looking for the newest podcast?

They stay up for quite a while and will be there when you have more time.;)

That is how I usually see that the show is availlable, unless someone decides to post a "fake" Show Up ! thread to stir the pot.

It's just one click to check and see if the show is ready, no big deal.
