"Ressies" are little blue pills we take when we get on Disney property. They come free with DVC membership.

You'll get used to Rich - he's sometimes funny, sometimes frustrating, but never boring...
Anyway, on the main DIS page is an item labeled abbreviations which should help you understand the lingo. To answer your specific question, ressies are reservations.
VWL is Villas at Wilderness Lodge, BWV are the Boardwalk Villas, OKW is Old Key West, VB is Vero Beach, and HH is Hilton Head. They are all DVC resorts.
Good luck!

I'm afraid to ask, but what is "bump"?
TnRobin
03-13-2001, 08:12 AM
Ressies are kinda like little blue pills - they are reservations for stays at WDW.
Bump is used to push a post back to the top of the page. Any text will do it, but bump seems to be the favorite thing to use. Of course Rich, I would love to see your definition
also a little hint about Chat protocol. When you type in all capital letters - it is yelling and some feel it is rude. Just FYI. :) :)

Whenever a new post is added to a thread, the thread goes to the top of page 1. A 'bump' is just someone's way of bringing the topic to the top of the page again ('bumping' it to the top).

This is a family board, that is why we use the code word "bump". If you can get Pete to give me permission to post it, I will.
I think that if you look at the last poster and who "bumped" it, you can figure it out for yourself.

The little blue pills are from the song...

If I get a RESSIE for a studio, can I request enough little blue pills for FIVE people?
(BTW - I tolerate my Saturn)

Yes, you can get 5 blue pills but they'll only furnish 4 cups of water to wash them down with...

That's OK. I can always get some water at the pool while I'm grabbing some extra towels. ;)

It took me quite a while to figure it all out, too. Those little blue pills were just not enough to get through my thick skull...
Maybe we need a handbook of all the little gems that come up so we can all talk the same language (that is, Disney-isms)...
I'm glad I'm not the only one to need help, though......
Hugs!
